Has anyone with fibroids tried zolodex as a treatment to shrink multiply fibroids

I have multiply fibroids one thats 9+6cm iv been lucky to have a miracle baby after being told I could not have not have kids and we almost lost her at 20 wks. Since the birth I've had heavy bleeding for the last 8 months and now it's affecting my bladder as the fibroids have stayed so big since the pregnancy and they are pressing in the bladder opening. I know it seems selfish but I don't want a myomectomy as I've been told it may led to a hysterectomy as I had to have 4 blood transfusions though my pregnancy and after my c section. But I would like to keep my uterus, hopefully to have another child, so I was hoping someone could let me know how zolodex works how it's given and if someone has had any success with it shrinking fibroids. It's my only hope over having surgery if I can get my doctor to prescribe it

If your gp won’t prescribe it look for a private practitioner no experience with this drug though

im on prostap to shrink my fibroids.it is similar to zoladex. my fibroid which was 8x8 has shrunk by half in the space of 6 weeks. i also had a myomectomy 15 years ago without any complications and went on to have two children. i was diagnosed with unexplained infertility before this i also suffered 4 miscarriages.but my consultant who performed the myomectomy insisted that he has never had to perform an emergency hysterectomy in the 25 years he has been a doctor.
