I hoped we would be one of the inspiring stories...
...but our story is ended. My Dad passed away on 11/16/19. I feel very remiss for not posting sooner, but it has been hard. Only just now am I able to breathe without feeling as though a knife is stuck in my chest. There is a twist to my Dad's story that I have wanted to share, in the hope that it will

Are there different IgG formulations for IVIG ?
I thought I read a year or so ago that there may be different formulations of IgG; some better and some not as good. Would someone confirm whether this thought is correct or not and if true, what manufactures are involved. I also understand that there are regional shortages of IgG for transfusions.

After 4th Xofigo injection, bone marrow 'crashed'? - Cancer or side effect from Xofigo?? Next step??
My husband seemed to be responding to the monthly Xofigo injections until the 4th one on Dec 5th, which caused his blood numbers to crash. He ended up in the ER 2 weeks later, on Dec 20th, with hemoglobin around 6, so they gave him 3 red blood cell transfusions which brought him up to 8.4. (we were

P1NP and high marker - what does it mean
What does a marker of 62 mean? I need someone to explain to me in layman's terms. Have had three previous transfusions in the past.

Global blood supply runs low - and that's a worry for those with CLL
There's currently a worldwide shortage of IgG, which many of us regularly need to maintain our immunity, plus during treatment, it's reasonably common to require blood or
platelet
transfusions
until our bone marrow recovers sufficiently.

Mom diagnosed with CLL
As per the flow cytometry report, it says atypical B- CLL with dim CD5 expression. WBC is at 16.5, hb had fell significantly, diagnosed as AIHA, hb seems to be back at 9.5 with blood transfusions and steroid management. Anyone else here had similar prognosis?

I want my father to have my kidney, but he doesn’t want to accept it, please help!
Hi everyone I am from Uruguay, tiny country in South America. So first I want to apologize for my English. My father has been in dialysis for 16 years (HD). I’m 35 and I have to be honest and say that I, subconsciously, thought it would be tough but not impossible. I’m very close to my father and my

The Heart Attack that thankfully wasn't
I still work 1 x 1/2 day per week on a Thursday afternoon. Thursday just gone the phone rings just after 5pm and it is the one who must be obeyed asking what to do as she had a crushing pain in her chest that radiated down her left arm and her jaw. Classic HA symptoms so told to no more than dial 999

Stomach bleed following heart medication
Hello all, me again - my mother had the very painful arm following the stent procedure. That has (somewhat)settled down after four weeks. On Saturday she started passing black stools and was taken to hospital with a stomach bleed. She had a blood transfusion yesterday. Waiting for an endoscopy today.

Has Anyone Heard of Any Alternatives To PC in Marrow?
I know its not cureable but is it treatable? Looking for alternatives. A hospitalist came in and said my husband needs hospice . His blood is up and down, needs transfusions frequently . He seems Like he is not in much pain and is healthy not end of life at all. Any advice is appreciated!

Hello, I was diagnosed with endometriosis and uterine fibroids in 2017. I was sterilized during my section with my 3rd child in 2014. I always suffered from heavy periods as well as severe pain and for a long time was fobbed off and told this was normal. After the birth of my 3rd child I seemed to struggle
