Had my 32 staples removed and went to physio last week. The physio said I was doing well. Unfortunately over Easter it all went pear-shaped as I had a very high fever though of course I was convinced I was freezing and was rambling. 111 told my partner to ring for an ambulance which was pretty alarmist. The paramedics were less than impressed when they came although thorough. It transpired that I had a UTI. Eventually the out of hours doctor prescribed some antibiotics and, as there were no nearby pharmacies open on Easter Sunday, he set off to collect them on Monday. When he got there the pharmacy didn’t have any and had no advice to offer. He rang around and no one had that dosage. So we had to ring 111 (took nearly an hour) to ask them to request another dosage.
All this has put me back and sapped any energy I had. Am finding it so difficult to do the exercises although I’m trying. At the moment my walking is more of a mad dash to the loo!

Hello BonnieMagic Please don't worry get well from your UTI and then you can concentrate on your knee You will soon be back to doing well with your physio I'm sure
Be kind to yourself it takes time to recover from a knee op but you will get there like I have
Ditto with wishing you a speedy recovery. And I agree it's a set back, take Yr time and as previous mentioned be kind to yourself, as you'll have bad days. My seogeon said it would be 4 months to feel almost recovered and that was so true. Do what u can, when you, when Yr up to it just push that little bit harder to get yourself back on par. Best of luck.
I know it's rotten isn't it but you will bounce back and love having no pain in your knee when you are all recovered Just take your time be kind to yourself xx
