I have CLL which has transformed to DLBCL(stage 1). DLBCL was located in my lower right pelvic area. Both are currently in remission following 6 cycles of R-CHOP and 18 radiation treatments to my right pelvic area. During radiation treatments I started experiencing tightness in my right groin/inguinal area and walking with a limp. Both have persisted for the last 3 months. I am currently taking physical therapy.
Has anyone experienced mobility issues following pelvic radiation? If so, did the problem finally resolve itself?

I have not had this treatment, but I *am* dealing with hip tightness/spasm that started a few months ago. And knee problems. Has your PT given you plenty of floor exercises, to gently stretch the hip area/leg extensors/etc without having to be upright? I'll mention when I injured a knee in my 20's, it took months and months for it to be "normal". And people going through hip replacement state it also can take months and months, unfortunately.
Here's an example of some lying/sitting exercises. Please get anything cleared with your PT before trying them at home, I am just showing examples of lying/sitting stuff. One really needs to have someone helping/observing/correcting initially, you don't want to be doing an exercise incorrectly. Are there any Sports Medicine docs/places near you? They tend to recommend combos of passive as well as active exercise.
