Hello lovely fellow runners , I’m asking for some advice please. I have been running consistently 2-3 times a week for 30-40 minutes since graduating c25k 2 years ago and been relatively unscathed injury wise.
I did a slightly longer run last week but still did my stretches and since Tuesday so have had a horrible pain down the inside of my left shin.
Is this the dreaded shin splints I ask myself and what should I be doing if it is. No good going to the dr - probably get an appointment in June- a physio perhaps? Any advice would be greatly received as I’m sure someone has had this horrible experience.😩

It sounds like shin splints. Take a rest from running for however long it takes that is to say a number of days or even several weeks. After a rest begin running again very gently and at the first sign of pain stop running. If you have been running 30-40 minutes 2 or 3 times per week for months on end then this is quite a heavy running schedule.
