Vitamin level results, Hashimoto’s.
Morning, Can the experts just let me know if my vitamin levels are ok. I have Hashimoto’s and I’m on 100mcg of Levothyroxine with a blood test (early morning) planned in a few weeks for an increase. I’m feeling better, but, I’m not 100%, still cold, worn out in the mornings despite sleeping right

Feeling worse when taking iron pills everyday
I started taking iron pills since two months ago due to iron deficiency anemia but they make me feel awful sometimes...when I take them for two or three days in a row I get headaches and my eyes get puffy then I have to stop taking them for one or two days... Any ideas why it happens?

Side Effects of CBD Oil
I was interested in Idasmums post about how CBD oil had helped her. In addition to PMR (in 6th year) I have Spinal Stenosis and Osteo Arthritis and am constantly in pain. I am unable to have the surgery required due to a recent bone scan showing Osteopaenia. Paracetamol, Codeine Phosphate, Naproxen and

Advise on Ferritin levels please
Hi, I was just looking at my Ferritin levels and wondered if anyone has an opinion on them? As usual I have been told they are fine. My haemoglobin levels are very good, average around 140. Currently on Vit D. 100mcg levo and 10mcg T3 a day. Previous ferritin results range from 25ug/L-74 . Ref range

DIY seems to be the only way to go with this.
Well did enjoy my 2-day respite, but now I am paying the piper. Just when I thought my 12mg daily Pred was going to do the trick, I get unexpected pains in my right ankle which seem to radiate up as far as my hip. A few sleepless nights and morning doses of co-codamol on top of my Pred ( hopefully )

Scoliosis and Osteopathy
Has anyone had success in being “straightened up” by osteopathy? The scoliosis was caused by my third spinal fusion three years ago. After two treatments, am certainly straighter but the pain is really awful. Is it normal to feel great for two days after treatment, and the dreadful pain kicking in for

Medicheck's 'iron deficiency test' no longer includes word 'ferritin', though their Dr. reports 'healthy iron stores': advice please
Recent '11 test' bloods by Medichecks now records an iron deficiency check under 'iron status' but does not use the words ferritin, despite the company's doctor reporting 'ferritin as normal, healthy iron stores'. This has a range of 13-150, mine was 62.8ug/L. SeasideSusie kindly mentioned earlier that

Taking the plunge
A very good late PMR morning (it was when I started writing this) to anyone picking-up this post. Having followed the forum for a couple of months, written 1 reply and gained an enormous amount of useful information, I am “taking the plunge” and introducing myself. I’m not a great social media user (

IRON ADVICE
Does anyone know how long a gap I need to leave between taking my thyroxine/ T3 and my dispersible Iron supplement? I know they clash so I was wondering I really want an iron infusion. Can I pay for this? Does anyone have any leads? Thanks all.

What is a TBG lab test?
I was looking over my lab sheet for labs to be taken in two weeks and noticed my GP ordered Thyroid binding Globulins. It sounds like a reverse t4 when trying to understand it? I thought they ordered a TGab, but apparently that was not the case. What exactly will this result tell me? Oh how all your

Advice on "normal" vitamin levels in the blood

Post lap questiond
Hi, I have a few questions. Sorry for the long post. I had a diagnostic lap on Monday. I had emergency open surgery when abroad last May and they removed an endometrioma from my left ovary, simple cyst from my right ovary and my appendix. My pain was worsening so I knew I had endometriosis somewhere
