I was interested in Idasmums post about how CBD oil had helped her. In addition to PMR (in 6th year) I have Spinal Stenosis and Osteo Arthritis and am constantly in pain. I am unable to have the surgery required due to a recent bone scan showing Osteopaenia. Paracetamol, Codeine Phosphate, Naproxen and Gabapentin have not helped so no longer taking them. I take 50mg Amitriptiline each evening. Have had steroid injections in spine in December which did not help. Am waiting for Radio Frequency Lesioning but would like to get some pain relief while waiting. Would CBD oil be safe for me? Am on DSNS for PMR currently 6mg. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

You may be interested to know that NSAIDs affect cartilage regeneration so if you can avoid taking them that could help. I know it's difficult when dealing with debilitating pain and I hope you can find some helpful alternatives, possibly even the CBD oil!
I too have had PMR for over 6 years. My rhumy wNts me down from my 6 mg to 5 mg by the time I see him in 3 weeks. I also have several bulging disk, spinal Stenosis, curvature of the spine, and arthritis, and yes osteopenia. I have been taking 1 thylonol 3 a day for years, but now I’m so much worse and taking 2 some days, it helps a little. I can not have back injections or surgery, to many places to severe and recovery would be extensive, besides it would only help me 50%. So I understand you💕
My older sister is using canabis oil and is doing so much better, something I will try in the future when I no longer can make it.
Thank you for your reply. It seems we have much in common. I hope you find some relief soon. CBD oil is a last resort for me. I find it a little scarey. I'll try and find the courage to give it a try but it's certainly outside my comfort zone and personal values. Today I received my referral to the Pain Clinic which was referred 6 weeks ago and is on the 20th July. Only another 7 weeks!! My
Very best wishes to you and your sister.
CBD oil has no psychotropic effects. It will not make you high. It's probably healthier than most of the pain medications doctors freely prescribe. It should be legal everywhere, even places where marijuana itself is not, because it will not affect you psychologically. For me it's outside my comfort zone because it's very expensive!
Same here! Think I'd consider trying it if it wasn't so pricey!
Where are you at? I’m in Michigan in the US. I guess I’m letting my sister try the oil before I do to make sure their is no underlying effects😎 she is 79, 11 years older than me and she has to have something besides taking a higher dose of morphine. She is doing better than she’s been in 10 years!! It’s not legal in Michigan, just what she’s taking with a prescription from her Dr.
