Carbs and thyroid
sorry, none of you seem to have understood my question. I am not talking about low carb diets at all. I am asking if a high carb diet will cure an underactive thyroid in a person who is not on medicatrion. If so, where is the research and evidence and why don't endos, GPs etc. suggest adding extra

A little background on me, any response or advice to dealing with side affects and memory loss.
(I have been on the waiting list for therapy for almost two years now) I am suffering quite badly with depression, depersonalisation and weight gain (This contributes to the
low
mood
I have) I also have quite frightening flashbacks on a daily basis also memory loss and lack of concentration.

Low dose side effects?
I am very keen to know people's experiences of side effects at
low
doses - my
mood
is now consistently very
low
and I often feel teary and sad and extremely anxious, I lack motivation, am extremely irritable and feel somehow weak and shaky inside myself.

Stage 3 CKD and Hashimoto's
Hi All, I have been reading all your posts for awhile and just want to say thank you to all the information everyone supplies. I am Stage 3 CKD with Hashimoto's and an undetermined autoimmune disease. After a year, I finally have a referral to a nephrologist and an endocrinologist. My current doctor

Dr Bredesens Protocol for MSA and LDN
Hi, My father has recently been diagnosed with MSA. I have been looking for therapies or treatments that may be beneficial for him and was wondering if anyone has tried following Dr Bredesens protocol or a ketogenic diet? Also, does anyone have any experience using Low dose Naltrexone for MSA symptoms

Well after all does weight really matter
Have just come off my first (and last ) cruise and I was staggered at the amount of people who were not just overweight but obese . Having carefully watched my weight for years and low fat diet plus plenty of exercise it didn’t stop me needing a bypass at 76 . So what am I missing I keep asking myself

Away for Easter
Well, my daughter persuaded me to drive me and my husband up to Yorkshire in our motorhome ( the very same one that dropped on my husbands head) to have a relaxing few days with them. I was excited that I'd managed it and looked forward to the lovely weekend, only it couldn't be like that for us. Husband

Carb cravings and - Muffins!
Just a short one. One of the problems with transitioning to a largely low carb high fat lifestyle is the inevitable craving for bread, potatoes, rice and pasta. When I was a child it was only bread and potatoes - pasta was largely unknown, and rice was a pudding. Anyway, many, many low carb recipes

Poor T3 conversion
Had dose increased yearly as test results required but recently been feeling similar symptoms to when my tsh levels are too high... fatigue,
low
mood
, muscle pains generally just fuzzy. TSH levels were lowest they have ever been so I ordered private bloods to check various hormone levels.

My menopause symptoms have started to come back. Could it be that my body's naturally produced hormones have reduced?
In the last 6 months my symptoms have started to return (hot flashes,
low
mood
, tired, weight round trunk and aches) Nowhere near as bad as before going on HRT but I have an annual appointment on Wednesday with the nurse to review my HRT.

A long post - How medication was ruining my life, not making me better! Reassurance for anyone concerned about stopping medication.
However, the daily ache I experienced
low
in my pelvis did not go away, my
mood
became very depressive, I completely lost my personality (and libido for that matter), I was extremely fatigued and "foggy", and I slowly developed joint pain and restless legs.

Low Protein Diet
I'm starting a low protein diet and allowed 46 grams a day. I have a few questions: (1) does this allowance involve both plant and animal protein; (2] if it involves plant protein, does the plant protein have to be "complete " proteins or just any proteins; (3) if I only eat 30 grams on a day, can
