Newbie post - unexplained prediabetes.
For over two years I have had prediabetic HbA1c test results, creeping upwards from 43mmol/mol in a routine test in May 2018 to 47 at the last test (just before lockdown in March). 48 will indicate diabetes. After the first test result I bought a blood glucose monitor and, whilst, thoroughly researching

Anyone not following LCHF
Is it just me? It is clear that not everyone on this site is following the same diet; there are maintainers and there are dieters following different guidelines to maintain or lose weight. Yet, I am left with the feeling that if I do not support and adhere to a LCHF diet, then I am …. I am not quite

Recent resp. Appointment - new meds
Just wanted to update some of you on my recent app (should have been in April, thanks covid 🙄) So my blood test done in March showed my eosinophilic count had dropped to 0!!!! This is the best news ever! And the lowest it has ever been! And overall I’ve felt so much better during the shielding process

Low carbs bread?
Update: I tried it this morning, I add a pic. I like it, not for a daily basis, but for once in a while it's ok 😊 Hello! I hope everyone is having a great Sunday! I've searched low carbs bread and I've seen a recipe to cook in a mug in 90 seconds 😮 I'm sure many of you have tried I can tell me about

TPO and TG antibodies reduced after 6 weeks of LDN
Hey everyone, Just thought some people here would be interested in knowing this. I started taking low-dose naltrexone back on 6th July (6 weeks ago). I had a blood test on the same day before taking the first dose to test my antibodies before starting LDN: TPO: 180 (<34) TG: 433 (<115) Yesterday I

Menopause madness, and strange hot flushes.
Ladies I need some insights into your own experiences, I am literally another person, I alway's suffered with PMS and turned 40 and started with perimenopausal symptoms,
low
mood
, irregular more frequent periods, some cyclic hot flushes and anxiety.

TEST RESULTS
I’m feeling anxious a LOT and have
low
mood
and feel down depressed a lot lately very up and down. Puffy under eyes, puffy ankles, palpitations every now and then. Also probably peri-menopausal now although menstrual cycle still normal. Would be grateful for any advice.

SUPPLEMENTS
Ok I'm on low carb eating and have lost 12lb which I'm very proud of. I was advised to take powdered collagen to guard against loss of hair, Biotin for hair and nails plus electrolytes which apparently we lose with the loss of fluid. Has anyone encountered these supplements. Is there anything I should

Asthma hit me out of the blue
Hello to everyone at A UK I joined Health Unlocked some time ago because I suffered from Polymyalgia Rheumatica and needed advice. It's a nasty auto immune condition that can be managed with steroids. I am one of the lucky people to make a recovery after 2 years. Now, I'm getting on happily with life

Interesting article about the effects of fasting.
https://nationalpost.com/health/fasting-for-three-days-renews-entire-immune-system-protects-cancer-patients-remarkable-new-study-finds I came across this article regarding fasting. It sounds too good to be true, but... I am inclined to go ahead and give it a try. Perhaps closer to my next CBC check,
