Hi Penny
I have been left a borderline diabetic from the pred and also struggling between depression and
low
mood
swings. I am hoping as time goes by these mood swings will improve also panic attacks.

Struggling to bring down blood sugars
Hi Friends, As some of you know I've been on a journey and taking T3 was the real game changer. I am under the care of a fantastic private Endo. I've included my thyroid and sugar results in this post. My insulin is elevated indicating insulin resistance. All tests are done fasting and no meds

Changes at 6.5
Tiptoeing my way down from 7mg (started in Dec. 2022 at 20) to 6.5, I noticed that I no longer bruise so easily (yay!) and my allergic contact dermatitis has returned (boo). But more significantly, I feel fatigued much of the day (I've been very active) and a bit depressed (I'm usually optimistic) until

Diabetes and oesophagectomy
I had an oesophagectomy (keyhole) in December 2021. I've made a slow, steady recovery and feel very lucky to be as well as I am today. I eat well but of course in much smaller quantities.I'm a type 2 diabetic and prior to my op I had my diabetes well controlled using Metformin and diet. I was told, at

GP appointment today - help!
Hello lovely people, I have a GP appointment today and I wanted to ask for advice. I'm on 125mg Levothyroxine. Feel well except for inability to lose weight, Have lost about 3 stone over past 4 yrs but need to lose 2-3 more I'd say (don't use scales). I have pretty much optimised all necessary vitamins

Appendicitis and PMR?
I’m 67, have well controlled PMR and take 5mg of Prednisolone. I have been on a low carb diet because of a diagnosis of pre diabetes. On occasion I have been feeling tired recently and put that down to the change of diet. Ten days ago I got severe stomach cramps and a temperature and went to the GP

Newly diagnosed; so scared, confused, and depressed
Hello. I'm so glad to have found this supportive and helpful community! I apologize for the long post. I first noticed when I received routine bloodwork results a year ago that my eGFR was flagged as low at 80. Since I didn't know what an eGFR was, I started researching and was alarmed to read that

Hello guys I’m a new member and wasn’t sure that this site wasn’t a pop up that I’d accidentally gotten onto ha ha total dinosaur that I am
My story is a long one-I developed a squint and then mono-occularism around 5yrs otherwise fit and healthy though shy, quiet but determined. At the age of 13 I felt like someone had switched me on or woken me up but by 15 I had my first allergic response to food-Hovis wheat germ bread. I became muscular

naltrexone
Has anyone out there tried low dose Naltrexone for their RLS? My doctor is considering this as part of a long term rotation plan to manage dependence and augmentation. I haven’t found a lot of information yet, but interested in having as many options

Should I be asking for an increase in Levo?
I also have
low
energy and
low
mood
a lot of the time. I'm sleeping well, I think due to HRT, and my bowels are much improved from a couple of years ago when I was constantly constipated.

Help… too young for lap
I have tried every pill available, I really struggle with
low
mood
and they just don’t agree with me. I have always been reluctant to try the coil with it being more long term due to my previous experiences of contraception.

New therapies for RLS!! New research finally!
I have had RLS for 30 years, but when prescribed pramaprexole, of course, it made the monster worse. I did some research and there are two new therapies coming out. One is a new drug discovered by professor Dr. Stefan Clemens at Brody school of medicine...he discovered why augmentation happens...

Underactive thyroid and increased night time urination?
Symptoms have been tiredness,
low
mood
, weight gain, coldness, generally feeling not right. My biggest issue of the last few months is that I’m getting up three times a night to urinate. Usually it’s once, maybe twice if perhaps I’ve been out for a few drinks.
