PV and knee replacements
Hi my MPN family I was away in Whitby last week and though I knew my knees were very bad I didn't realise how bad until I tried to walk around Whitby on their hills and cobbles. I did this on the Monday and now, a week later, I am in absolute agony with my knees. I really think I am overdue for a double

GOOD NEWS FOR ONCE
I have had PMR for 4 years, diagnosed Jan 2016. Throughout I have been knackered, felt my life was on hold with the need to rest and pace. Had to more or less retire from my work as a specialist nurse in food intolerance. Concurrently major probs with cartilage tears in L knee, followed by 2 arthroscopic

Knee replacement surgey for an MS patient
Hi everyone, I had my knee replacement and it wasn’t so bad except the 2nd day when the pain medication was wearing off. I told my husband I was dying. I prayed to God to take me. Later I woke up, and almost forgot surgery until I moved my leg. I asked the nurses (male) where I was and what happened

Get Healthy!
I am now on the a waiting list for a knee replacement, I feel like an old woman, bad knee, my back keeps seizing up, I struggle to walk any distance because of my knee, I'm a shorty at 4'10" so my weight at 86kg is way too heavy for me. I think I've just got used to the way I look, even though I don't

2 major knee surgeries in 3 weeks
Hi, this doesn't have anything to do with MS but I wanted to share it. I have had two partial knee replacements in 3 weeks. After the first one the internal stitches tore and it required that I have another one. Now I have a wound vac which keeps any fluid off of my incision. I spent a total of 8 days

Knee surgery
I’m scheduled for a knee replacement on 9/5. I don’t want to do it but really need. I’m not on any antiarrhythmic except flecainide as PIP. Luckily, haven’t had any a fib in 16 mo. My fear is the drama of the surgery may stir it up. I’m trying to decide whether it makes sense to ask cardiologist if I

Where to go for advice and help
77 yrs old. Had fibro for 35 yrs+ but only diagnosed 10 years ago. Also hypothyroid. Worked full time until I was 53. Never paid full stamp (for various reasons) but that's another story, but did pay married woman's stamp all those years, with contributions amounting to more than a friend paying

Knee surgery at 24
After over a year and a half of steroid injections every month, and biologics continuously not working, I saw a new consultant yesterday who has referred me to have the lining of my knee removed. I'm 24 and have had constant fluid, swelling and pain in only my right knee since I was 16. I've tried to

Living with LE
Hi, I have been living with Lymphodema since 2013. It began skowly in 2013 and its been a challenge but one I fight daily. I had a horrible accident in 2017 when I was walking across the floor in a friends home and the floor caved in with me causing me to be in a wheel chair for the rest of my life.

Thank you for accepting me into this group. I was stage 3 for 9 years, always stayed at that until 18 months ago when it dropped to 30 right down to 23, stage 4. Had a pre op for tkr but obviously couldn’t have it done, still haven’t had it done, I am now at border egfr 30, just back in stage 4. Only
