Anyone had knee replacement following CRT-D?
I had a CRT-D implanted last October. All has gone well. I have now been told that I need both knees replaced due to osteoarthritis. If anyone has been through a similar situation, I would appreciate any thoughts, comments and experiences. Thank you in advance.

AF episode and TKR
I finally got my TKR on Friday but the wound wouldn't stop bleeding (not a great deal, but enough for surgeon to be concerned), despite being off my rivaroxiban for more than the required amount of time! I was made to keep my knee tightly bent for 4 hours for compression after surgery as he said it would

Knee or joint replacement or osteoarthritis
Before I can consider Ocrevus or similar drugs, I have osteoarthritis in my right knee. My knee can’t be straightened fully even with PT. I can no longer do yoga or Pilates. All my activities including walking are extremely exhausting and painful with my bad knee. It’s like I have two legs of different

Leg spasms and PMR
Thankyou all for responding to my problem. I have started taking Prednisolone again. When I wrote my first post I wasnt taking prednisolone. The doctor advised me today to do this. He also said seeing the specialist this month was advisable but he couldnt say my leg spasms are connected to this flare

Waiting to feel better
Neurophthalmologist planned to keep pred at 80 mg until August appt but I think they reduced to 60 mg last week b/c so shakey, weak & difficulty keeping track of my cookies - remembering. Shakiness better but sick 3 days with migraine. Could that be from drop in prednisone? Little less shakey now but

Just been told that my 4 inch bakers cyst can only be remedied by knee replacement !! Was referred for knee replacement in Jan . Told too young and to “walk through the pain” . And as long as steroids still working that will do ??

Knee replacement fix up
Hi, I am 49 and had a knee replacement 9 years ago due to a severe knee injury. Well, I guess knee replacements are not for the young because I have worn a part of it out and have to have it replaced on the 23rd. I am freaking out, wondering what effect this is going to have on my MS. It is a huge surgery

Getting surgery with Afib
One of the reasons I decided to get the ablation is because I have to undergo a few major surgeries after the ablation one is a knee replacement and the more major one is cervical spine surgery and I was told by the surgeons that having AFib during surgery can really complicate things any feedback

Weekend fun!
Enjoying fresh cherries in Oregon! This was last week. Today I made chocolate cake with two other grandsons. We didn’t have time to finish, so we will ice it tomorrow with all sorts of fun goodies. I have to admit that after making cake, taking the dog for his exercise, and waiting on my husband

How much?????
Good afternoon! I was told by my orthopaedic consultant that I have 8 stone to lose before I can be considered for the two total knee replacements I require. He is a lovely man...not fat shaming just speaking the truth. The biomechanics of a new knee couldn't cope with any more weight. I have already

My first post, what do I say
Im new to this site. Over the last couple days, Ive just read some peoples posts and responses were comforting. Im 66, a retired nurse of many decades. I believe Ive always had some anxiety/ depression but camouflaged it in focusing on everyone elses needs. So now I have time to figure out who I am.
