Hello. As title says. This is my last try and weight-loss. I've tried and done all the plans. They all work. I just dont stick with it. Im so tired of trying. Long storey short. I rarely feel hungry......I just love to eat. So its not hunger that stops me its just my need to eat. My meals are on the whole healthy......but i snack permanently. This is where the extra weight comes from. I am currently about 4 stone overweight. I have no major health issues to speak of. Apart from feeling tired and sluggish all the time. I have had two knee replacements but these do not hinder me in anyway at all to exercise. I don't do any form of structured exercise apart from waking and of late not a lot of that. I am aware this is all my own doing and only I can put it right. I am looking for inspiration and support and will willing return it. I am good at supporting ( I support ...family and in my work role) but useless and doing myself what I support others to do.
Ive downloaded week 1 of plan.....so here I go. I have also download MFP and got my Fitbit on.

Welcome! Are you joining our weigh in today? It can be found under "events". Would you also like to join our Christmas Challenge? Here's the link to tell you all about it, hope to see you there! x
Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Eating All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
I have also recently joined the forum looking to give and receive support in losing weight and eating more healthily. Similarly, I seldom feel hungry during the day. My eating problem starts in the evening... and stops when I go to bed! Plus the beers, of course.
In my case, I think it's a lack of control and meal structure. Knowing when a meal is over!
The Daily Diary on the forum is a good planner and source of meal ideas. I intend to use it.
I wish you well with your weight loss journey. I'm hoping that regular contact with the forum will help me 'stick to the plan'.
Hiya thank you, have you a name. I dont feel comfortable calling you "overweight". We can do this. I am so lazy when it come to exercise. How long have you been on this site and is it helping. Ive been into daily Diaries today and posted.
Sometimes we like to be anonymous here. And we also like positive names. You could always go for OW48 or something like that if it makes you feel better.
Hi OW48, MissisB has finished her shift for today, so I am stepping in She will not be able to change your name for you, you will have to do it.
Click on your Avatar and go to your profile page, you will see a drop down menu, go to settings and scroll down towards the bottom, you will see a section that says change your name.
Aw. That sounds a lovely plan. Just remember though, you can only change your name a couple of times - so make sure you save a name change for when you are LightWeight48. 😀
I have just opened the Daily Diary for tomorrow so will look forward to seeing you post your menu there for the day. If you are not sure where to find it, go back to your Welcome Newbie pack and you will find both written and visual instructions of how to find Events which is where you will find the Daily Diary
Hello Bluejeansforever and welcome to our very friendly and supportive Forum.
It sounds as if you have a fair idea of where your problems lie in the scheme of things. If you are eating healthy meals - and snacks too, I am guessing overall you are eating too much of the good things in life. We certainly don't encourage hunger here, and you might like to have a look at the NHS BMI Calculator to give you a good idea of just how much you can eat and still lose weight - not eating enough is the downfall of many an effort at changing eating habits.
I am going to tag you into the Welcome Newbies thread where you will find links to all kinds of information and resources, and explanations of all the things that go on here.
I really look forward to you being a supportive member here - you will find the more support you give, the more you will receive back as people come to know and recognise you and appreciate your comments.
"I've tried and done all the plans. They all work. I just dont stick with it." I don't agree with you. They don't work, if you can't stick with them. It's not you failing, it's your diets failing you, as they do for us all.
I suggest, before you start on calorie counting, that you read this, which explains what happens to our metabolism after repeat dieting, and what changes we need to make (changes to what you eat, not just how much) to lose weight and maintain that loss healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
