Eliquis vs. NSAIDs
Ive had AF for many years and am considered “chronic”. I also have arthritis sporting bilateral knee replacements 12 years ago and a hip replacement. I take hydrocodone for pain. I take Eliquis for my anticoagulant and have been advised never to take an NSAID (ibuprofen, aspirin, etc.), which is what

Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis with Scleroderma
Have been diagnosed this by my respiratory consultant due to decrease in my lung function tests. I don't have much information on this but have been put onto new medication after being taken off of mycophenalate as it had stopped working and put onto Ofev. Have been told that it won't stop further damage

B12 self injections - how are they done?
I'm new here and thought I posted this query earlier but it appears to have disappeared so I'll try again! I am not able, along with everyone else I guess, to have my three monthly B12 jab from GP because of the CV. I just wanted to know how you inject yourself. I recently had a knee replacement and

Hand surgery / knee surgery complications with Parkinson’s
I am writing to see if anyone else has complications after surgery. I had my knee scoped in March of 2019, I have more pain and stiffness even now yet after the surgery. Dr says I need a knee replacement because I am at the end stage of osteoarthritis but would not do it. I also had a total collapse

Weaning off Pramipexole
I have just begun my weaning off pramipexole. I had recently switched neurologists and then had a knee replacement which kept me from a neuro visit longer than I should have. At appointment doctor discovered my dosage was too high. I am 120 lbs and was taking 1 mg 5x a day. I have dropped 1 mg and am

Does anyone have experience of Osteoarthritis at a young age in the UK?
Hi all, At 15 I tore my ACL playing rugby and had it replaced - few months ago I was having issues with my leg locking regularly and pain around my knee cap, while at my work as a postman. After seeing a physio and being refereed for an MRI they discovered that my knee had arthritis and the ligament

One week in Self Isolation
After one week in self isolation my husband and I are coming to terms with everything this entails. We live in a rural village so it is possible to get out for a walk everyday. My mobility is much improved after knee replacement 12 months ago and can manage 4000 steps now, was in a wheelchair. Fortunately

Blood thinners post surgery
I have to have knee replacement surgery. The surgeon said I need to be on a blood thinner, which I knew. I have progressed to the beginning of cirrhosis. What thinners have any of you used? I see my doctor in a week or so to talk about it, but I wanted to see if anyone has experience with this.

Hi there
Hello everyone. I am really struggling at the moment. I was diagnosed with Lupus ten years ago then Bechets, APS, Raynauds, Pernicious Anaemia. I started loading doses then got the injections every three months. Two years ago after a bitter disagreement with my GP where she refused to increase my dose
