Ive had AF for many years and am considered “chronic”. I also have arthritis sporting bilateral knee replacements 12 years ago and a hip replacement. I take hydrocodone for pain. I take Eliquis for my anticoagulant and have been advised never to take an NSAID (ibuprofen, aspirin, etc.), which is what I need. Any advice out there?

Sorry that I can't be more help but all I take is paracetamol for my arthritis as any NSAIDs are contra indicated if you have AF since they are known to be a cause let alone a trigger. Never mind the contra indication with anticoagulants.
I feel for you, I have psoriatic arthritis and ibuprofen is my pill of choice. I take xarelto at night and ibuprofen in the morning, just one they are allowing me, before xarelto on a bad day I may take three, oh well, it"s amazing what we put up with when there is no alternative. Panadol dosen't work for me unfortunately. All the best.
Paracetamol is the best alternative.
