Awful nausea with co-codamal and transdermal patch
Hi all, I'm waiting for a final diagnosis of pelvic congestion syndrome after 11 months of hellish pain, during which time i've been on all sorts of medication. I've been on co-codamol or some form of codeine for about six months now, and also take tramadol (and various other drugs), and in the last

Anyone else 'forget' pain?
Being on the pill back to back I have forgotten how bad my period pain is. I know that sounds ridiculous. When I'm not on period I have back pain, pelvic and abdominal discomfort and constant fatigue. Standard. But I haven't had period since February and now today I am in quite a lot of pain. Its been

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Vitamin A (Retinol, Retinoic Acid [RA], Beta Carotene)
This is the first in a series of reviews of the PCa literature for foods & supplements. When I began looking at studies 12 years ago, I started with vitamin A, which I quickly discovered is not an easy topic. It goes on a bit, so for those who want the bottom line: do not supplement with vitamin A (

Urge to Post
Hi all, I feel the need to post. Been having an unsettled time of late. Nothing changes much, I suppose I'm wrong in expecting it to. I need daily paracetamol to function, today I took co-codamol because I was having to step up the coping. But it was fine, went well and I came home feeling good. I'd

2 Many Q's! NDT or Just T3?
Hi Everyone, Well its another Friday night at home... I have a few questions so I thought I would write it all in one post. Firstly, I was diagnosed as Hypo back in Feb, but have been symptomatic for around 5 years. My GP told me to just eat less and exercise more and that I had IBS. I knew that was

AN UPDATE ON MY GCA REDUCTION JOURNEY & NO RETURN OF MPS
2 weeks ago I reduced to 7.5 mg and, to date, haven’t experienced any withdrawal symptoms or side effects., so may well venture down to 7 this weekend. I’ve been taking 2.5 ng at midnight (we retire late) and 5 mg at 9 am. I’ve been splitting in this ratio for a couple of months and it’s worked

Hiya girls, Need a little bit of advice. Think I mentioned in one of my previous 2 posts some of the symptoms I've been having which are lower abdominal, pelvic and lower spine pain which is quite severe. Today I've been in absolute agony! I've taken four 30/500mg co-codamol and four extra relief paracetamols

Please can anyone help? Can't get in to see GP and in tears with pain!
Hi, I'm new here and signed up because I really need some help. A little background: I've had headaches continuously since I was about 14 years old and my various doctors have never investigated this. They've put me on several medications over the years, including amitryptilene, co-codamol, voltarol

Who do you see, in which department?
Hi, new here though you may know me from similar groups. AIH, Lupus, Menieres, diabetes 2, oesophagus probs, now Fibro. A rheumy dxed me on another, lupus apt. Is this who treats us? I am self medicating on co codamol 8/500mg and Tramadol when unbearable pain pops up. More tired than I thought possible

Hi ladies I need your help. My EC was on Monday (19 eggs with 30+ follicles). I'm in absolute agony and don't know what to do. It has got worse... it's mainly lower abdomen but also my sides. It feels like I've pulled a muscle..like a bruised feeling inside but also a sharp stabbing pain particularly

Rattling
Pharyngitis. I'd never heard of it until yesterday. But now I've got it, with inflamed tonsils. Deep joy. My voice is now nothing more than a strained whisper and I'm not leaving my bed today. Soooo... I'm now taking 8 penicillin tablets a day to attack my throat like a unit of green berets on a mission

Anyone Fancy a Pint?
To the person who asked if their arthritis had got worse with taking morphine when she was taken off the cirrhosis drugs, this has happened to me. My joint pain turns out osteoarthritus. Unlike yourself though I did have joint pain before I stopped drinking - it's the alcohol that causes the osteoarthritus

Struggling to lose weight
Hello all. I'm currently struggling to shed extra fat. I guess the post title is a little misleading as I'm more concerned with losing fat than with weighing less. I currently cycle 3-4 times a week, clocking in an average of between 60-100miles per week. I also incorporate 2-3 sessions of fairly intense
