Ibuprofen and asthma
I’ve been told since I’ve been diagnosed with asthma (6 months ago) that I should now avoid anything with
ibuprofen
in, well the other day my GP prescribed
ibuprofen
gel for pain relief as I have carpal tunnel, she told me the gel is fine to use as it doesn’t enter the blood stream like the tablet form

Any tips on how to reintroduce food after bad IBS flare up.?
I’ve taken 2 buscopan after reading other threads and 2 paracetamol (I cant take
ibuprofen
) recommended by NHS 24. My stomach bloated and sore. I’d be grateful for any tips to help my recovery when I’m able to reintroduce food again. I’m planning on leaving it at least 24 hours 😕

Problems with ankles and feet
I have been propping it up I can't take
ibuprofen
because of allergies but have trying to reduce inflammation. It gets a little worse every day. Has anyone had that? If so what was it and what did you do about it?

Pericarditis pain killers stopped
Prescribed naproxen instead of
ibuprofen
. Had a stent fitted this time last year so she called my cardiologist. As a result all NSAID painkillers other than my low dose asprin have been cancelled. Now seriously worried about coping. Paracetamol has not worked well.

Fibro loop hole
My body has become so used to paracetamol and
ibuprofen
having being relying upon it for many years. As the doctors can still do nothing and my flare up is continuing I’m having to take time off work to be able to cope with my symptoms.

Diagnosis.... Or lack of.... Help 😭
In the last 14 years I've been on Fluoxetine, Amitriptyline, Diazepam, Paracetamol,
ibuprofen
, Naproxen, Codeine, Gabapantin to name but a few. Hit and miss to which has worked and when.... None of them touch the pain now AT ALL!

Elevated ca125 levels/ possible liver problems?
In fact, accepting a few
ibuprofen
, I've maybe had ten aspirin in my whole life andnow all of a sudden I'm shoving 1300 mg of aspirin down my throat each day. I feel like if my body and liver aren't used to that, there could be a reasonable expectation of a strong reaction.

Post hip operation swelling and sharp pains in hip and leg
I cannot take
ibuprofen
and nothing I can take appears to reduce this. The orthopaedic surgeon and GP do not take any interest in this lympodema yet it is not going down my calf at all. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so how did you resolve it please? Thank you.

Rebound headaches
My mum has bad arthritis and takes
ibuprofen
3 times every day (under the care of her GP). How is it that painkillers can cause rebound headaches, yet with other conditions it doesn't make the pain worse?

Headaches are such a......pain.
Yes, Tylenol or
ibuprofen
make them settle down. So, is this flare or withdrawal? That's always the million dollar question. I'd love to get prednisone down to lie levels. Love to get rid of moon face,, thirty pounds, and In general, have my life back. You know the drill.

I got my tattoos and . . . unfortunate news
I had finished the last of the second month of celecoxib that PA had prescribed and was about a week into being off of it when it seemed that the osteitis pubis symptoms were reappearing and 800mg
ibuprofen
three times per day wasn't handling it.

Any tips for sore knees?
I’m currently using
ibuprofen
gel which helps. Just about to start week four and a little bit concerned about how I’ll cope with the extended periods of running.

Could it be pred withdrawel
down to 0.5mg using dead slow method after 4 years and two flares, arms achy and heavy and all over pain in bed in the morning, would normally up the pred but have found that 2 tablets of
ibuprofen
at night mean no pain at all in the morning or for rest of day which would suggest to me not a pmr flare

NSAID warning if TTC
This includes Naproxen (which I was prescribed for my endo pain) and potentially also standard
ibuprofen
although not specifically included in the studies I've read. Apparently there is no lasting issue so if you stop using NSAIDs your ovulation will likely return within one cycle.
