I have an emergency dental appointment this afternoon as I’m in a lot of pain. Paracetamol isn’t touching it and I can’t take ibuprofen because of the prednisolone. I’m also on progynova and Lubion injections. Will the dentist be able to do anything? I don’t want it to be a wasted trip and really need the pain to stop.
I think it might be a small crack in the tooth so I’m thinking filling?!
If anyone can help I’d be really grateful.
Many thanks xx

I think they’ll be ok to do a filling. It’s just a local anaesthetic and I think the pain will just continue unless you fix it. Poor you, hope you get sorted xx
I should think it will be ok to do a filling if it’s required. I had a temporary filling as an emergency whilst I was pregnant and that did help with the pain until I could have a root canal done as I could only take paracetamol. Are you due a transfer soon? If so I’d think you might be better getting something done sooner rather than later anyway as if you were to hopefully get pregnant, you might be a bit more limited in your options then.
Maybe speak with the dentist about alternative pain relief and if they’re not sure about whether you can have anything stronger than paracetamol, you could contact your clinic?
And clove oil does actually work in my experience but as HollyT7 says, it really tastes nasty.
I don't blame you. Toothache is the worst! Clove oil is great for numbing. Definitely pay to see an emergency dentist and if you explain the situation with transfer being tomorrow I'm sure they'll sort you out. Good luck for tomorrow. I have mine at 1pm tomorrow 🍀
Oh it's the worst having tooth ache! I had a tooth yanked a few days before my FET, had local anaesthetic and all was fine with FET, currently almost 17 weeks pregnant. Best of luck lovely x
I’m really sorry you are in pain with toothache I had to have 2 teeth taken out last year so have complete sympathy for you.
I think it’s good to sort it out before the transfer as they are less keen to issue anaesthetic to pregnant ladies unless it’s an emergency, I had to have my cyst underneath my eye removed after I’d had my daughter.
I hope you get the tooth sorted out & all the best with your transfer xxx
