Temporary Soloution?

Hey, I wanted to share with you some information having just seen a specialist in Endometriosis...

short story; I was referred for a second opionion after laparoscopy in March that revealed minimal Endo but I am not further forward with pain, if anything it's worse for me.

Today I understand Endometriosis more and have been advised that life style plays a huge part in endo. I am going to change my diet to Gluten free as Wheat is a massive pelvic inflammatory nuisusance when suffering with Endo. Codine is a no-no and puts pressure on the bowels. Paracetamol and ibuprofen alternated every two hours is suggested. Whilst waiting for medication to stop the cycle fully then have the marina-coil fitted to protect fertility until the time is right to start trying to fall pregnant.

This isn't a cure for Endo but a temporary soloution for the here and now to get pain free and hopefully protect my overaries and fallopean tubes.

I hope it helps some how.

Brillaint that you've learned so much, isn't it awful how we have to go away to find out the info rather than having it discussed with us? So many would feel so much less stressed if we were just told these things! That's why we've found these forums and posts like yours so useful :)

There's lots of different suggestions on how to manage endo but we have to remember each person is unique so what works well for one person may not work for another, or their preferences may be different, so don't get too focussed on trying everything; change one thing at a time and see what works.

Let us know how things go x

P.S. I've had excision surgery, currently have aromatherapy and massage sessions, reduced red meat, dairy and wheat, these have helped me manage almost painkiller free, apart from the three days around my period. I'm looking into acupuncture. I don't want any hormones after years of taking them so I'm trying to go chemical free!

Thanks for your message.

It really is awful that we have to find other means to further understand our condition.

Thanks for your advise. I'm going to deffinately start with diet whilst I wait on next steps re; meds. I didn't want to do meds but I literally cannot take no more pain. I'm also worried about the rate of fertility etc.

That's a real encouragement that you almost manage painkiller free 🤞🏼
