Hi everyone, I'm new here but have been reading a lot of posts and find it very helpful. Great to find this community that support each other. I wanted to tell about my mother’s condition to see if anyone has any helpful tips or insights. My mum has been diagnosed with Parkinson recently and has started

Rectal prolapse and pudendal nerve pain
I am new to this, I have a suspected mucosal prolapse (similar to rectal prolapse) in my bottom. The symptoms are horrible - a feeling of pressure inside my bottom and pudendal nerve pain all around my bottom. I am waiting for an ‘examination under anaesthetic’ for a confirmed diagnosis but in the meantime

Needle size and dosage
Hi everyone, thanks so much for support and advice. It's been invaluable and given me the confidence to purchase vit b12. Could someone tell me which needles to use for intramuscular injections. Thank you

Peripheral Neuropathy
I was diagnosed with PBC around 6 years ago. Due to the current Covid -19 situation here in the UK I haven't had any contact my Gastroenterologist for almost 2 years. I understand, one of the symptoms associated with PBC is Peripheral Neuropathy. I have this condition in both feet, numbness, burning

Confused after follicle check day 6 - low responder?
So I’ve just started my first round of IVF and just had my follicle check on day 6 on Gonal-f, apparently I only have 4 follicles growing at this time.. I’m 30yrs old with a good AMH and AFC, doing IVF because of male factor infertility. Is 4 follicles after 6 days a very poor response? I’m not sure

Is it just me?
Hi, is it just me that can’t tolerate the smell of perfume or aftershave ( any fragrance brand) at all? It makes me want to rip my skin off. I was never like this before lupus. ( diagnosed about 7 years ago but lived with it for about 15) I didn’t have this issue before lupus I’ve had to tell my daughter

New ache in wrists
Hi all - wishing everyone the best of health (or at least some relief) for the holidays. I have a new or worsening symptom & wondering if it‘s familiar to anyone. I have developed an unrelenting ache in my wrists & hands. I have had issues with neuropathy - shooting pains, numbness, & iciness, but

Any success with IVF cycle using Clomid?
Hi ladies, we are starting our 7th cycle soon. I have low amh and I am a poor responder. I have had four fresh transfers, three last year which were all unsuccessful. We have now suggested to our clinic to freeze any embryos we get and see if they survive till day 5. We previously always transferred

Lip biopsy
I would pose this question on the Sjogren’s forums but have not had much luck getting replies there and know many of you will have had this procedure done as part of your AI journeys, so hope you don’t mind if I pose it here. That’s a Louis Theroux documentary we need to see: AI journeys. My ENT doc

Anterior prolapse?
Hi everyone, I am new to this group. Joined today after I started doing some research on Anterior Prolapse. I visited the physiotherapist today and was told that my pelvic muscles were really tight. Towards the end of the session, she mentioned to me that my bladder is too low. She specifically said

Increasing self doses
After recent diagnosis and poor care from doctors, I am self injecting as I have said in a few previous posts. My plan was once every 2 weeks - boy I was wrong. Symptoms return like a total crash, really bad. I am now on 3 times a week just to keep the symptoms away, bearing in mind it takes 2 days from

Inhibition of Epstein-Barr virus reactivation in nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells by dietary sulforaphane 2013
EBV is a very common latent virus (up to 95% prevalence) and has been linked to autoimmune diseases and inflammation. PD may be an autoimmune disease. Seeing what things tamper down EBV. Steroid injection
Hi everyone. I had a steroid injection this morning in my little finger. It's been locking alot lately and causing pain in my lower arm. I'm told it's because of skin thickening in my hand. Only diagnosed in July. Has anyone else had this experience?

Starting tocilizumab
I had my first shot of TCZ this morning (10 hours ago). 45 minutes later I started to feel lousy, dizzy etc. I'm slowly getting better now. Is this anyone else's experience? Is it likely to pass, and it is something I have to look forward to every week, or does your body adjust to it? Am also on 14mg

Does anyone know whether I will experience steroid withdrawal even though I’m on tocilizumab?
I have tapered down (from 40mg) to 5mg pred. I began a course of weekly TCZ injections 8 weeks ago. I need to stop taking the pred. I’m wary as I have experienced steroid withdrawal on a prior occasion. I am debating whether to keep taking it over Christmas or to stop now… and I’m wondering whether:

Amusing Story
I saw my MO yesterday. Since UCLA is a teaching hospital, I usually talk with a resident, or the physicians assistant, before the doctor comes in. This makes time with the doctor more efficient, and helps with teaching. Yesterday she sent in one of her students to talk with me. Along with the usual

Greetings! I’ve been suffering from anal fissure, mainly due due to ulcerative colitis. Instead of the indicated 8 weeks I used the medication for at least 5 or 6 months on and off as it was the only thing helping. I’ve noticed a skin rash start to appear over different parts of my body and I was wondering

No one is offering any answewers or help
Hey, just wanted some advice or similar stories. I've had endo for around 10 years 4 laparoscapys later and I've been told I can't have any more as it could cause too much damage. I use the contraceptive pill to manage the endo as I've tried pretty much everything else. They don't really want to help
