Hi,

It is very difficult to recommend a particular medication as nerve pain can present in many different forms so some people will take a small dose to help them manage whilst others will need to be on a combination of pain medications for their pain. It will also depend if there is coexisting depression which is common in all chronic illnesses. Some people will be able to manage their depression without medication so the dosage used (especially with amitriptyline) will be a lot smaller.
