Hey, just wanted some advice or similar stories. I've had endo for around 10 years 4 laparoscapys later and I've been told I can't have any more as it could cause too much damage. I use the contraceptive pill to manage the endo as I've tried pretty much everything else. They don't really want to help me as I'm 26 and wanting to try for kids in the next few years. For thr last 5 months I have been breakthrough bleeding literally 0-100 full blown pierod every other week with really bad cramps. I can't seem to get any help from anyone even considering trying the coil again. If Anyone has any advice or similar situations would be great to hear x

Who did the four laps? That seems a lot of operations for someone your age. Are you sure they did a good job and really removed all the endo? Also were you diagnosed as having adenomysiosis ? This can cause awful bleeding but not usually at your age. Which pill are you on ? They should have given you a progesterone only pill if not it will have made the endo grow more if the pill has oestrogen. I had the progesterone only pill but it made me bleed really heavily so I was told to double the dose and that stopped dall the bleeding pretty quickly.
I think you have several different problems and asking other useres on here probably isn't enough. I would go back to your gynae or even better find a different one , but it has to be one who specialises in endo, and ask him/her all the questions you have.E.G Why am I bleeding so much? What are my chances of getting pregnant / carrying a pregnancy to full term. What can be done about my endo ? Try a different doctor get a second opinion.
Definitely get a 2nd opinion....can you travel? Or pay for a private appointment? There shouldn't be a limit on laproscophy if you need it. I asked my surgeon how many he would perform on someone and he said its completely depends on the person and the reason.
There have been quite a few studies that say having more than 3 laparoscopies can cause more damage with scarring, nerve damage and adhesions actually causes more problems than the original endo. That's what the science and most reputable surgeons say. The idea is if they do a good job and get it all out the shouldn't have to do another lap for years. Doing a huge number of operations on the same person is a bit of a red flag.
