Any success with IVF cycle using Clomid?

Hi ladies, we are starting our 7th cycle soon. I have low amh and I am a poor responder. I have had four fresh transfers, three last year which were all unsuccessful. We have now suggested to our clinic to freeze any embryos we get and see if they survive till day 5. We previously always transferred day 2 or 3 embryos. The clinic has suggested starting the cycle with clomid and then if I respond they will add menopur. I've always had gonal & menopur or just menopur. Has anyone had a cycle with clomid that worked? Thank you for your feedback.

I didn’t try clomid with IVF but was a poor responder with low amh. Oddly, the long protocol worked for me. It might be worth exploring with your consultant x

Thank you for replying and glad to hear you were successful 😊 I've always had a long protocol. We thought of trying a frozen transfer now as I am thinking it might help for my body to have recovered after the egg retrieval. I don't know if it will make a difference but we are trying different things. They will also try immune suppressants.

I believe it is used in this way clomid 1st then menopur as it can increase the number of developing follicles . You could ask the clinic /Dr to explain this fully to youGood luck with your treatment

hi! I was a poor responder with a short protocol. Had no joy on first cycle at all. I have low amh so never tried clomid. last month I tried a cycle on clomid naturally and had 8 follicles, 2 at 20mm in one ovary. They were very surprised at this. so we are now trying a IVF clomid cycle. hope that helps x
