Increasing self doses

After recent diagnosis and poor care from doctors, I am self injecting as I have said in a few previous posts.

My plan was once every 2 weeks - boy I was wrong.

Symptoms return like a total crash, really bad.

I am now on 3 times a week just to keep the symptoms away, bearing in mind it takes 2 days from shot to recover I am doing Mon,Weds,Fri.

I do have issue with snapping ampoules, had 3 so far break in hand, luckily no cuts from it. just bought an amp opening device too.

My thanks again to people on this site for guiding me on the items needed!

Hi Vitali-ep,

I hope you find it easier opening the vials with the device. Yes, our deficiency and need for B12 is quite bizarre, changes of frequency. It can take some time to heal but as long as you are going in the right direction.

Best wishes.

Well-done for being brave enough to take the plunge as it were. Thanks to wonderful advice from this site, I have all the equipment (except for ampoule breaking device) but have yet to find courage to use the needle!

Forget courage. Just do it. So freeing.

All the best.

Hi, Just found this post and it’s 12 months old, Do hope you’re feeling better. Would you mind telling me where you bought the ampoule opening tool from? How easy is it to use? I have deformed fingers which are painful and have little strength in my fingers, also loss of sensation, so such a took might be helpful. Best wishes.

100% worth investing in one, if you inject regular. can get on ebay or Amazon. make I got was Snap it. they are expensive but worth the money.

And yes I seem to have my symptoms under control now

not sure what you have but just a tip with the ampule opening device if it is one where you put the full ampule in, and it takes both 2ml and 1ml. its worth putting an ampule in and putting a bit of bluetack in the bottom to fill the gap. that way, when you snap the top off, it doesn't drop down and spill. :)

I got mine from amazon or ebay I think. about £3.
