Spring 2021 Half Marathon Group π 10K race? And some nice links - hills n thrills!
This article from Runner's World discusses some new research that found that it depends upon the type of hill and the
fitness
of the runner, but generally a mixture of walking and running is best!

Newbie weigh-in question
It has been going well, despite regular slips and binge days, as I've been slowly heading towards my target weight and gaining health,
fitness
and enjoyment in life.

NHS Workout: Pilates for beginners - great for stiff backs
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/nhs-
fitness
-studio/pilates-for-beginners/ Very gentle on the knees as well, as long as one ignores the last movement section, yes the (for me) notorious childβs pose with a catβs twist thrown in. Great for any backs, not as good for my knees.

Dismissive Doctor
When I'm able, I try to do this daily to build up my
fitness
, although I haven't seen any benefits from this. I've tried to push myself to do more several times, but it's always led to considerably more discomfort, the worst of which lasted for several days.

Hello.
I started this program to try to get a level of
fitness
and to possibly help me in my battle with depression and anxiety. My wife is an experienced runner, however I want to keep this to me for now. Solo runs on local single track roads in the Scottish Highlands.

University of Liverpool studies show that cardio respiratory
fitness
plummets amongst those who don't exercise enough for just a couple of weeks. If you don't exercise enough your body has no option but to turn your food into fat, As a result you get less fit and put weight on.

Getting back into it after having Covid
The first day I was allowed to leave the house, though, I was determined to start getting my
fitness
back. I worked hard to get this far and didn't want it all slipping away. So me and my mum went for walks everyday from the 28th, doing 6-10,000 steps each day.

Exercise after ablation
I'm 56 and I've managed to build up a reasonable level of
fitness
, generally doing 2 6 mile runs in the week and around a 10 mile run at the weekend. I also walk on the days I don't run. I'd like to get back to exercise as soon as possible but obviously don't want to overdo it too soon....

However lesson learned and I took my time to get back to
fitness
suitable for me to start again. Anyone starting out just take your time folks it will pay off in the end. Looking forward to graduating in the not too distant future.
