My Son's first HM today!
My younger son is 18, 6'6" and has the sort of effortless
fitness
that a young man naturally has when he plays football at every opportunity and has an hour of hilly walking to get to school, the shops or any of his haunts.

Keep on walking!
I decided that as my
fitness
tracker keeps a record of how far I have walked, that I would see how long it would take me to ' virtually' walk from lands end to John o'groats.

W8R1 done but W7 was a struggle
I’m not sure the trades descriptions people shouldn’t arrest me for saying I’m running when I’m kind of flip flopping at a speed which seems to be slower than I can walk 😩 Has anyone else felt like this before and if so, how can do you convince yourself again that it really is helping your
fitness
?

Give me a break😁
🙊) These past couple of weeks I have been trying to reclaim my pre christmas
fitness
/distance 15k but I am really struggling!😭 I have taken it slowly, 3k then couple days rest 4k, but I still am finding it difficult to even get to 5k without stopping, very frustrating😡.

Lockdown non-smoker - VO2 max increased so much!
Howdy, a smoker of twenty years, but have remained pretty healthy throughout on the
fitness
side, but since the lockdown in March I’m yet to smoke and I’m very pleased as my VO2 max has gone from poor to excellent in that short time. Hope everyone is well!

A short play with Fartleks and a year younger 😁
My run on Monday and the one on Wednesday both put a year each on my
fitness
age so I decided on a few quicker bursts today to see if I could halt that trend, especially having had a birthday in January 😁 . And although it was just 2.5K and not overly fast bursts I was happy to have lost a year .

W1R2 Not as bad as I had thought!
Can’t wait to finish W1R3 and start to really see a difference in my
fitness
, and hopefully lose a bit of weight along the way too.

First Half Marathon Completed ! ✅ 🥳🥳
🥳🥳🥳 My time was what I’d roughly expected, given my current level of
fitness
and preparation, but that’s ok for my first attempt and gives me something to work with in future, so I’ll take that 😁 Home, showered, hydrated, a nice steak dinner and a cold beer to celebrate 🍺 and I’m feeling as good

Why is my VO2 Max decreasing as I progress through Couch to 5k?
On 3rd November my Garmin connect app showed VO2 Max of 38 and told me I was in top 30% for my age and gender with a
fitness
age of 50. This morning after my run I have a VO2 Max of 35, and I'm only in top 45% for my age and gender with a
fitness
age of 62. What is happening?

8.8 pound weight gain and 33 point BP rise in 2 days due to water retention?
I kept up my
fitness
walks -- 8.54 miles on Saturday and 9.04 miles on Sunday. I felt like a bull moose in the rut during each walk! Very strong! At dinner on both nights I really feasted: • 2 1/2 bratwurst sandos each evening.
