Just started … again
I am in my mid 50’s and my weight and
fitness
levels have been fairly up and down over the last 20 years. Over the last few years it has been up with the weight and down with the
fitness
so a year ago I decided to give C25K a bash.

Fighting Prostate Cancer with Exercise and Diet (Part 1)
Even more exciting: Participants in the ERASE trial showed improvement in cardiorespiratory
fitness
. For men with prostate cancer, cardiovascular health should be a concern, and improving it should be a goal.

I'll take that......
He was concerned about my
fitness
following a stroke in March. He asked " How far can you walk...?". I said " Well yesterday I ran for 60 minutes in the morning and walked 8k in the afternoon". His reply was "Wow". I think I'll take that as meaning C25K did its job very well!!

More wobble than before.
I was pleasantly surprised that my breathing was fine, so I must have retained some
fitness
(been walking the dog which helps).

The Gremlins grow with the Cranberrys 'Zombie' - in your head ;)
Thirty minutes might seem like a big leap from last time however blah blah blah blah" I just registered 'one run' and 'thirty minutes' LOL LOL LOL So - 1.5miles in 20m is not that shabby for me after all :) I must definitely have reserves of
fitness
I did not comprehend before :) The HUGE lesson

Setback on week 9
Concerned about losing running ability and
fitness
if I take too much time off. Frustrating as was about to graduate and look into doing a park run.

Parkwalk at Parkrun this October
I managed to jog my way round on a Saturday morning near the back but behind me were quite a few wkees and mixed walking/running like the early weeks in C25K Parkrun recognise that a lot if people do walk not run in order to maintain their
fitness
and to talk to friends so they are officially recognising

13 Months into Covid Pneumonia recovery, walking benefits
I was a bit poorly last week, after pushing a month of walking, including hills, up to 5 days a week, but after a week i've slowly bounced back and consolidated that
fitness
. Finally, I can climb stairs without getting out of breath at the top.

Back up to
fitness
since, but I’m obviously frustrated as I was keen to pick up where I’d left off. what are others experiences?

Week 8 - complete!
Only 3 more runs to go, i never thought I’d be at this stage when I first stepped on a treadmill all those weeks ago and was quite frankly blowing out my A*se after 60 seconds what a difference in
fitness
mindset and over all health. Loving it

Going up & down with Pred - Steroids or pain? - Help!
If I'm feeling good can I start to exercise & try to regain the
fitness
I had before or will this just acerbate the situation & make things worse? I've been prescribed amitriptyline 10mg to help with pain.

CATCH-UP-CORNER...WEEK 2...SLIP off your SHOES and rest a while...You will be Glad that you Did !
We do, after a couple of weeks begin to lose
fitness
, maybe sooner , depending what has kept us on the IC, so nearly a month between runs! I maintained my daily routine, but easy...

Cut off time is my time
I run for enjoyment (never thought I'd say that before Couch25k 🤣) and don't particularly enjoy pushing myself, so I'm wondering whether the slow easy runs to build aerobic
fitness
will help by much or should I try a few faster efforts? Or just convert to the 5k, which has no cutoff?

I think I had an ED when I was younger
When I was in middle school, I was obsessed with
fitness
and eating healthy. I found many videos of workouts and healthy recipes and tried to follow them. I wasn't at all overweight and my eating habits weren't that bad.

Return to C25K after Achilles Injury
I’ve been cycling to keep my
fitness
going and I’m sure this has helped my injury. I would be interested to hear people’s thoughts, particularly if you’ve been through something similar.
