The right goals!
I still set myself a target pace but this was more realistic with my
fitness
levels, still pushing myself but not being silly! I finished this morning's run feeling happy that I was improving my stamina and knowing that I was on the right course.

Week 9 run 3 completed today!
Off I went to the physio and I diligently followed all the advice but I was afraid to try running again as I could at least enjoy the
fitness
benefits from walking with less chance of injury. However, I still ended up with achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis.

However,little by little my
fitness
has improved and yesterday I did the second run of week 5 and do you know what? ? I really enjoyed it and found it relatively easy. I know it's early days, but this has literally changed my life.

The course is suitable for all ages and
fitness
levels. Tripudio is a gentle form of exercise and is performed to different genres of music. Including gentle moves to help the feet improve balance and mobility. It does not exclude anyone as the exercises can be done seated.

Pace lesson learned
I believe that as stamina/
fitness
/strength improve by simply getting out there healthily, my time will improve when my body is ready. I don’t need to push it but if I do there are intelligent (planned/organised/healthy) ways of doing it.

All Done Now So Is It Onwards & Upwards?
Still breathless climbing my stairs but that may be just my
fitness
waned again or the anaesthetic/ pain meds. Only one drug change Bisoprolol down from 12.5mg to 2.5mg from tomorrow as in theatre 1.25 was good.

Beautiful start to day.
Hi all, first post for a while, trying to get
fitness
back after covid, and first 5k for a while😊. So feeling pleased with myself. Beautiful morning here so set off for Billy trail instead of sea front for a change, nice and shady in parts so big bonus.

Pacing ourselves: the Visible app
Very interesting article about a new app - Visible, which is an activity tracker but geared towards illness rather than
fitness
, mainly, but not exclusively for people suffering from Long Covid but also living with conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome...and I would say probably applicable to

Update 7.0
He gave me the choice of the "Silver Sneakers" test or his default for younger folks, the Marine Corp basic
fitness
test. I opted for the latter. I did not pass, of course, so no going to Marine Corp Boot Camp for me! I was surprisingly not that far off though.

Breathless after Covid and anti-virals?
I'm seeing the respiratory Nurse at the local surgery next week for an assessment and have been referred to the local sports centre for exercise to build up my
fitness
. Has anyone else had long-term breathlessness following antivirals?

15 month update, Covid Pneumonia, the road to recovery
I'm still building back my
fitness
, and suspect that will take another 6 months. So, from that perspective, the long covid clinic could offer me nothing. It just shows the state the NHS is in, it took them 12 months to offer help that in the end was not needed.

Week 6 Run 1 - Great Advice
I have learnt my lesson - if this slow pace is doing me just as much good building
fitness
and stamina then great, I have confidence of making it to the end, something I felt would be impossible just 6 weeks ago.

first run!
I managed the 60 seconds bursts easier than I had anticipated considering my
fitness
is absolute terrible. I'm doing it in the gym for now until I feel brave enough to get out and about!
