10th Anniversary
I have built my
fitness
up by walking every day and am enjoying life. If anyone reading this is at the start of their journey, there are tough times ahead but like me you will come out the other side.

2 year runniversary today (or is it?) 🤔
It’a a bit frustrating as I can feel I’m losing
fitness
a bit , not gaining it 🤣, but heck, C25K did me proud first time round, so I figure it’ll see me right again. In the meantime I so miss my long runs but I am where I am and patience is apparently a virtue!

Healthy Ageing and fighting Sarcopenia
In my research to improve my health and
fitness
as I age, I frequently come across articles of interest. More recently I have noticed the words sarcopenia and muscle atrophy cropping up. Basically muscle atrophy and sarcopenia relate to loss of muscle mass and strength as we age.

Hip pain gait issues
I just did my first couch to 5k run, and it was fairly easy from a
fitness
point of view, but it has left me with an ache in my left hip joint. I cycle and walk lots but I have never run before, and I’m pretty sure my hips are wonky as I had hip dysplasia when I was born.

Which Apple Watch to buy to monitor my heart condition, HF and AF
At the moment I only have a
fitness
tracker but my hubby promised me to give me an Apple Watch as a present for Christmas. I have a IPhone 13.

Everything hurt, until it didn't!
V02MAX docked me a point, expected,
fitness
age still very old but unchanged. Willow had tracked my run so there was tea waiting as I walked through the door, he then helped me peel off my soaking wet everything and stretch.

Return to normal?
What were the hurdles you encountered increasing your physical
fitness
? I know a lot of folks are older. I am 59 , and can't imagine being this unfit for the next 20 years or so. Any info is helpful and I thank you in advance.

An overdue and tough 2.5k
I knew it would be tough because of the breaks but also the weight has been creeping up and I need to put a stop to that and re build the
fitness
. So today was just a short trot with a couple of walking breaks . This could take some time ! 😐

C25K changed my life!
and had lost some weight over lockdown and decided to work on my general
fitness
. I'd seen friends talking about C25K. I was extremely doubtful: my first runs were done in places where no-one could see me - I thought people would laugh and point! The dog was definitely very puzzled.

Do you like 15 min runs?
If we are talking 'just a run' it doesn't hit the spot and satisfy until 20 minutes” 4) use shorter runs on days where there are already other
fitness
commitments 5) use them when you’re tired or short of energy 6) run shorter runs when it rains, storms or freezes

Well, they did it!
After the third week, she started to find it easier than some of the others in her group as her
fitness
returned. Their plan is keep doing the 30 minute runs then look to increase the time in the new year.

Tim’s run - 8k in Church Lawton
I have been up and running regularly but slowly from about August time following my op and radiation treatment and the joy of getting out and running has been a major driver in getting back to a reasonable
fitness
level!

Week One complete - despite Fire and Traffic Mayhem.
As it happened, it was FAR easier to do the final week than I had anticipated as by then I had reached the
fitness
level needed.

#Walk1000Miles starting in 2023 (Country Walking Magazine)
It’s a bit too much for me, both in terms of walking
fitness
and the time available. I wouldn’t know when to squeeze in the 2.74 miles a day or how I might manage to keep up that daily distance daily.

I'm still way off from where I used to be but I accept I am where I am and I will take as much time as necessary to regain my former
fitness
. for me it's all about
fitness
and enjoyment. not distance, pace or numbers .
