Which Apple Watch to buy to monitor my heart condition, HF and AF

Hi I have been on this forum for a while now and I can say the people here are wonderful, very helpful and highly knowledgeable. I would be very grateful if you could help me with some useful advice this time as well. I suffer from heart failure and atrial fibrillation. I am on the waiting list for a hybrid intervention (surgical and RF ablation) at Royal Brompton Hospital, Chelsea. While I am waiting I have to submit my symptoms and observations (BP, HR, weight, oxygen saturation etc) via a medical app to the hospital regularly. At the moment I only have a fitness tracker but my hubby promised me to give me an Apple Watch as a present for Christmas. I have a IPhone 13. Can you give me any advice on which type of Apple watch is the most appropriate to buy to be able to check/monitor my heart condition in the best possible way (which has the most features to do this). I mainly want to use it for this purpose. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Check the model you would like has the ECG app. The SE watch doesn’t have this. I have a Series 6 which I use with an iPhone 11 but your phone should be fine with the current Series 8. I have found the ECG app fairly reliable to check for AF whenever I’ve experienced an episode, and it picked up my first known episode. It’s not a 24h ECG though, nor can it detect anything other than AF, but it’s good enough for what it is. Good luck with your procedure.
