I seem to be weaker on my left side, well maybe not weaker, but definitely tighter across my hips on my left side. I seem to drift to the left just a bit, which is very visible on a treadmill. I've been working on stretching, especially my hips and it's improving.
I also bought my first piece of fitness kit apart from my beloved roller, I bought a wobble board. It's been great for making my left side man up if it doesn't I don't balance. It's also the source of much hilarity in the family, so well worth the money spent.
I thought my right side would be weaker as that was the side I tore my meniscus on, and also the side that had my ginormous ovarian cyst but a friend pointed out that I sat for a while with my right leg up on a cushion on a chair and my left one on the floor which may or may not have meant that my right side was stretched across the hips more than my left - something to ponder when I can't sleep Either way, stretching and the wobble board are definitely making a difference, whatever the cause.

hiya, thank you. I knew I had a weaker / stronger side, but I didn't drift to the left (or right) before so it's more noticeable. I will carry on wobbling
Running is just about one foot in front of the other...? Hmmm... not so... Who would have thought that we have so many things to think about, deal with, create strategies for coping with, etc etc.
I do know we all have a weaker and stronger side, and the whole concept of that is really interesting, but in our running too... gosh!
Those hip exercises are going to help I feel sure... and the wobble board too. I had to use one of those after a torn Achilles tendon... they are tricky! The family have to have a go and see if it as funny when they do it x
Huge well done to you.. slow and steady.. you are getting there! x
Almost there! Yeah, I'm not sure if it's buying new running shoes, stretching, building up gradually or a combination of all 3 but I'm managing to stay injury free (despite a long list of past issues with my knee and feet). Maybe I should get one of these wobble boards and foam rollers, like you though! I've always had issues with, like, my entire left side. Lol.
I know that even if we do everything right, sometimes something can go wrong, but I know the stretching is helping, the wobble board is new so, while it might be fun, not sure I've seen the benefits yet, but it is fun!
I had a wobble board as part of my ACL tear rehab. It really works to help with stability strength and balance. I put it next to the kettle so I would try to stand on one leg for 30s every time the kettle boiled
