JULY QUEST 2024: Week 2, how's it for you?
I read an interesting article about when it's good to step back from endlessly striving to achieve
fitness
goals so I'm taking heart from this: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/article/2024/jun/30/do-be-a-quitter-how-i-broke-my-exercise-streak-and-smashed-my-
fitness
-goals To make up for it

Sunday morning gym
He is trying to increase his
fitness
and stamina following a stroke (fortunately not a bad one, but it does leave him feeling very fatigued at times and he finds it frustrating that he can't do what he used to be able to do). So off to the gym we went.

It's my 1st Runnerversary! 🥳🥂🏃♀️
Garmin is so pleased with me, my V02 max is in the superior range and apparently my
fitness
age is a ridiculous 24 (I'm mid 60s).

Bisoprolol & Apixaban
Got a heart monitor and using it mainly for
fitness
(hrv) tracking which has additional benefit of flagging number of long/short beat intervals. Have got a kardia device also which is good for a second opinion on rythm. Think I'll be investing in a 24hr monitor if I have any more arrythmia.

I'm new
What's strange is even with these EF numbers I managed to do a
fitness
body pump class 1 week before diagnosis. I have no out of breathness. No leg swelling. I feel I could go for a run but obviously I'm resting for now. I'm eating an excellent diet.

6 months and going with couple skips along the way.
I used that mindset to go all in on a
fitness
journey and cut alcohol out. It's been a great ride so far and have seen so many great improvements with my health and sleep. Started seeing Dr regularly to keep eye on my health more and I love all the improvements that I have seen.

Forgive the dozy question but...
I don't know why type of shots they use - I think I've been recommended hydroxy but God knows what they dish out at the
fitness
centre. Does it matter?

Declining fitness!
Help.I am a bit puzzled. I have completed the C25K twice last year. I had a long break from running for 8 months for a variety of reasons - mainly work and depression. I got back to running this May and started the C25K again from the very beginning. Even though I could very easily run for 5mins non-stop

Week 1 complete...
Admittedly all the running I have been doing is downhill, and I have gone back to my old route with more uphill sections ⛰️ I can tell from my splits and particularly my heart rate tracker that I was just cheating myself and I will achieve better

Restarted (again)
Feeling fairly chuffed, and with my strength training I think I’m starting to get a more rounded
fitness
regimen ( if only I can stick to it). Am away at the moment but I am out again today before it snows and my buddy at home is coming out with me on Friday.

Buprenorphine Sublingual Tablets and journey to recovery
I've read about weight loss with buprenorphine, I've lost a lot of weight the last 12 months and put it to mental health (trauma and grief), improving with
fitness
(swimming regularly) and better eating. In the last year I have gone from 117kg to 76kg.

Idk whether to do yoga, dance or bungee
fitness
, especially with my knee. My therapist said i have to do some sport and have hobbies outside anxiety cause apparently anxiety isn't a hobby (this is satire :) ).It's overwhelming to plan. I hope this is for the best.

Waiting for the day
I built up my
fitness
, lost a lot of weight and every morning i was up and out as soon as it was light to run 7-10km. I felt awesome!! I was then struck with gallbladder pain and had emergency surgery to remove it.
