This morning was a different experience for me in my C25K and beyond journey, I accompanied hubby to the gym. He is trying to increase his fitness and stamina following a stroke (fortunately not a bad one, but it does leave him feeling very fatigued at times and he finds it frustrating that he can't do what he used to be able to do). So off to the gym we went.
I surprised myself by it making a nice change, I could just listen to my music and not have to think which way I was going to go, or avoiding obstacles, etc, as often happens. And, I completed the 5k in 36.30 minutes, my fastest ever! I don't think I would do it that fast if out and about, but nice to know that I can do it! Ran on for about 42 minutes at a reduced speed, which was very pleasant, and could actually have done longer, but as it is only 2 or 3 weeks since I graduated, and reading recommendations, don't think it is a good idea to push it too fast.
Onwards and upwards.
Heti, how are you doing?

Treadmills get a bad rap but they can work really well. It sounds like the perfect way for you to get your run done today. Nice one!
Just flagging up the weekly quest as you mention you’re a recent graduate. This is a nice way to set some goals (which can be as simple as “keep running consistently!”) and get support along the way. Annieapple is hosting this month. Have a look at the latest post here…
It’s not at all compulsory but feel free to join in if you think it would be a useful way to get support as you figure out what post c25k running looks like for you.
Have a great next run whether that’s indoors or outdoors!
