I’ve graduated twice already over the past 4 years and have lost count of the false starts. I stepped out (again) and did wk1 r1 on Sunday. Feeling fairly chuffed, and with my strength training I think I’m starting to get a more rounded fitness regimen ( if only I can stick to it). Am away at the moment but I am out again today before it snows and my buddy at home is coming out with me on Friday.
I’ve invested in a treadmill this year to keep me walking when I’m too busy with work to get out or it’s too icy so doing part of the plan on a treadmill will be a completely new experience for me.
Anyway, wish me luck! Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of week and weekend

Welcome back Ann! Well done for getting out there again. I started C25k almost 6 years ago, but chose the gentle warmth of May rather than the sub zero temperatures which have struck this week. We have to seize the moment when we feel the urge! Good to have a treadmill as a fall back; I just don’t do ice. Keep us updated with your progress and above all, enjoy !🙂
It was minus 2 this morning and has only just reached freezing now. Yesterday’s snow is probably ice by now! It will warm up through the weekend…but rain and high winds is forecast to kick in then. I should migrate South 🙂
I’ve just been out, that wind goes right through you. Still took me all of 5 mins to warm up and I enjoyed it. I am also a northerner but currently in Wales. It’s a gorgeous day today
I have just come back from walking Molly up in the woods. Apart from the warm up descent onto the old railway line, where I was glad of my walking boots and stick, the trail looks pretty clear; so I might get out at some point…I already have my running bottoms on… under my jeans! Glad you enjoyed your run. Weather hardly ever stops me, but one fractured vertebra from a fall on ice/slush is quite enough for me!
You are clearly “in the groove” Ann, which is great to hear.👍
Welcome back... so many of us repeating or repeated... me included...a familiar friend who knows us and whom we know... Slow and steady as you go...especially in this uncertain weather...
Do keep posting for great support too...lovely to have you with us!
Thanks, getting out of the door is always the hardest bit. My attitude wavers I must admit but it feels like a good moment to start again so I’m just going with it!
hi Ann. Can I join your club haha, I’ve graduated a number of times now. This time I’ve got to the golden 30mins and have been consolidating for a couple of weeks. I don’t like the cold so I’ve done mine at the gym on a treadmill and I’ve started to add other bits to it like rowing and the static bike ! Once the warm weather rolls around I’ll venture outside again ! GL with it this time around 👍🏻
welcome back. I’ve graduated twice and although I’ve stuck at it for a year I’m not much faster although I can run for 50 minutes now. Trouble is I get older each day too🤣. Good luck xx
Thanks! Running for 50 mins is a wonderful achievement, I got to about 7K last time but no idea how long that was, we went for a walk, ran and then walked to a cake shop! I must have been a dog in my past life as food clearly motivates me 😆😆
Good for you Ann 😀👍 Can I join your club too…. this must be my 4th time at least!! Am only on W1 R3 but past experience tells me I’ll get there in the end….. again! Well done. 👏👏
You can join my team -“ team try again and the repeat runners” sounds like a 1980s band! I’m doing R3 tomorrow before the weather gets really grotty and hoping to do w2 r1 on the treadmill
