The man who wrote Treasure Island
The following poem / prayer keeps popping up this Christmas: Loving Father, Help us remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and worship of the wise men. Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Let kindness

Can't sleep so thought I'd write my post now at 5am. After having NED last December (exactly a year ago today) after 2nd line chemo, I have had some aches and pains so got checked out. After a CA125 test of 7 in September, in November it had gone up to 22. Onc said not to worry and have another one

Nervous
Hello all, I'm still relatively new to the group. I have my first rheum appt on Friday and am so so nervous. I am desperate for real answers and a diagnosis that is real and I can justify why I feel thirty years older than I am. 8 have six:eleven criteria but negative bloods (which were done on steroids

PSP gifts!
Well, we all know of the problems PSP can bring and we learn bit by bit to cope with each of them but for us it has brought a couple of gifts with it. First off, we are getting on with each other better than we have for years. The reason, I think, is to do with the fact that I have always tried to change

Brain not working today - struggling to read and co-ordinate body parts
Hi everyone I've had odd moments since my post concussion syndrome last year, although everything improved massively compared to what it was, so I shouldn't complain too much. Cognitively I am better than before, but I still get moments like today when I'm given a work project and find it hard to come

Hello!
Hello everyone! Just saying hello to you all and hoping you are all doing okay!! Sorry I have not posted in a long time but I have been trying to avoid everything AF like the plague – very suspicious that if I think and read about it, or say it out loud it will come back!!! But trying to ignore it

Home from the op !
Good morning lovely ladies! Just updating you all on my progress. Arrived home from the hospital yesterday. 🎉🍾.. As you probably know successful debulking, still reeling in the glory. Strange sleep 😴 ( or little of it) last night, you would have thought it would have been so much nicer and easier

Post Traumatic Amnesia
Hello, I wrote a previous post entitled "He's a fighter" about my father in law. He's suffering all the symptoms of PTA, but it doesn't appear that anyone has actually said that he has that... maybe it wasn't taken in. But either way, it's so hard watching the whole family trying to cope with him in

Message in a bottle campaign
As requested in another post I'm putting this separately for more people to see. My local GP and pharmacy stock the message in a bottle system promoted by the Lions. It gives you a pill type container that has all your relevant contact details, medical information, medication, a note of where this is

Low Dose Naltrexone for fibromyalgia?
Since the last post on this four years ago, has anyone had success with Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN) for fibromyalgia? Here in the USA, Stanford University did a study concluding it offers "significant reduction in symptoms" for both Multiple Sclerosis and fibromyalgia patients. It's the same drug as Narcon
