"I'm coming home, tell the world that I'm coming home" 'Strength in broken places, eh?'
"Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday I know my kingdom awaits and they've forgiven my mistakes I'm coming home, I'm coming home Tell the World that I'm coming I'm back where I belong, yeah I never felt so strong.." As nice as a song this is, the melody hurts me, leaves me tight chested.

Has anyone found that certain drugs make anxiety worse?
For example, I took a Circadin (melatonin) and now I'm really anxious and nervous. Is this normal? What other drugs cause this?

Distract yourself from the pain...
....But preferably NOT by having a freak accident involving chasing a pet rabbit round the garden and ending up taking a layer of skin off your knuckles so that the new pain from the wounds cancels out the old and irritating bit of pain elsewhere. Now I will have to distract myself from the new

Who doesn't just love paying their taxes?
Now I've never had to pay tax in my life, it's the main reason I became a student, but for those who do, I (and I'm sure a lot of you) have certainly managed to get my money's worth in benefits, sick pay, free medication etc. If I lived in another country and my health plan didn't cover it, I'm sure

Do any of you wear SOS talismans or Medic-alert tags?
I don't think I fully understood how serious my condition was when I was first diagnosed, it was only after one of my medications cased my AF to become VF and I collapsed in the street that it occurred to me to get an SOS talisman. I was so seeply unconscious that I was unresponsive and became incontinent

Bioppsy by General Anaesthetic
Just heard from the Cancer specialist Nurse that I am to have a biopsy via general anaesthetic. The Oncologist did tell me last week it would be done either by a needle to draw off or general anaesthetic - the problem with general anaesthetic they could perforate my bowel. Has anyone else had it done

Winter has arrived!
Woke up this morning with chattering teeth (not really but it felt like it). Coldest morning so far this year at 14 degrees (and Yes I know that's not really cold for you in Blighty, but it is for Brisbane) with the thermometer dropping to 10 deg. on Saturday. Maybe its because after so long in Queensland

New to the site-my story
Well I've just found this site whilst searching how best to cope with anxiety. I struggle with strange places, public toilets and not looking 'feminine enough'. I'm 6ft with short hair and get all sorts of reactions in female toilets, gym etc. I've gradually got worse and worse over about 6 years. To

11 years after and depression seems to have got worse!!!
2002 A night out in town, after too much to drink and not being able to flag a taxi, i thought it would be better to cross the road so we had traffic covered both ways. I continued to talk as i crossed the road and didnt look to my right as i crossed, a mini bus hit me. This filped me in the air and

He suffered a severe TBI, subdural hematoma, week in a coma, 6 weeks post traumatic amnesia and is still having out patient rehab now. I have taken so much comfort from reading about other
