Complication during ablation
Hi folks I had my third attempt at radio frequency ablation last Wednesday. (I had number one 15 yr ago as radio and cryogenic one 9 months ago) Although this reduced my AF episodes I am aging too and want to reduce the medication, instead of increasing it, which is happening at the moment. Unfortunately

Continence & School (and a medical procedure)
Two things to ask advice on today - 1. Just met with school and they are asking for our son to go back into pullups rather than pads due to accidents and frequency of loo use (4 times an hour sometimes). We are just about to ask for an EHCP assessment so need to balance minimizing his needs by using

Concussion symptom?
Has anyone ever experienced a period of hypersexuality after a concussion or with post-concussion syndrome? Don't have to go into detail it just appears that the correlation for this symptom is recognised with more serious or debilatating head injuries. Yet I had a concussion and pcs and have had this

Should kids visit during Post Trauma Amnesia? Also, how long did PTA last for you?
Hi all, My partner has recently (5weeks ago) suffered a severe TBI. Was in a medically induced coma for 10 days and he is currently in post trauma amnesia since. He's displaying classic signs - confusion, agitation, very emotional (cries a lot), he is very loving towards me and likes to cuddle. So far

PFM colour coding
So I’ve mentioned this a few times on here, but due to the excitement of the junior in rapids on seeing it (he took a pic to show he’s friends) I thought I’d post an image! I (like most) struggle to do maths/work out zones when my asthmas really bad. Simple solution - get 3 (or 4) sharpie pens and colour

Success stories - please share!
I realize that most of the people here are currently dealing with issues but I am hoping that maybe some of the people who have had success are still around and might be able to share their stories?? What helped?? I’m feeling very stressed out and despondent at the moment. I’m aware that my stress does

Coughing and mucus build up remedy!!!!
Hi all, I just thought I’d share an amazing patch that helped T with mucus build up in his throat due to swallowing problems. It’s called SCOPODERM (Hyacinth) patches, it was prescribed by the Hospice Nurse. In the box it says that it’s for nausea and dizziness BUT they have discovered that it works

Would you share your experience of Rehab Units Please?
Hi All, I'm new here. This is my very first post in my life! Please be patient with me. After a Road Traffic Accident and a serious head injury I was left without any support or help whatsoever from my GP and other NHS Agencies for many years. I lost my job and any quality of life. I've read about

Coby breathed on his own again...
Coby breathed on his own again today during his three-4 hour surgery and as far as I know is still breathing on his own. His knee is completely fixed as shown below 😁😁 and now we are waiting to see if he’ll wake up soon. I’m pretty sure they’ll keep the ventilator in for a couple extra days seeing
