Also...terrible chills
One of the symptoms OH is finding most difficult to deal with is sudden onset chills. Pretty much every evening, and this week sometimes randomly during the day, he suddenly gets freezing cold, covered in goose pimples and can't warm up. Doesn't matter how warm it is in the room or how many clothes he's

Deja vu, depression and anxiety
Hey, I'm new here. I've struggled with constant deja vu for 3 years living in a world where nothing seems real and as if I'm going to die any second. It feels magnified at night time when I'm going to sleep as I think I won't make it to the next day and any little feeing in my body scares me :( does

Desmopressin. Speed of affectiveness and altered behaviour.
Hi Folks and happy Easter. We've had my son on 100mg Desmomelts for just over a week now but there has been absolutely no improvement at all on them, in fact there have been a couple of mornings it seems that it is worse. I've been trying to find out just how quick they are supposed to work as my understanding

Use of fentanil patch in hypoxic brain injury
Hi guys, hope everyone is enjoying their Easter weekend as much as possible. It's been a while since I wrote but due to recent developments I am in need of your advice again. We had a consultant coming over from another centre to give a second opinion. As opposed to the Ines caring for my mom, he thinks

Access to medical records for my daughter who is 20
Hello My daughter has an acquired brain injury due to hypoxia, from which she is recovering. 6 weeks in and she is progressing well, just a long way way to go regarding her memory and cognitive function. I think it would be important to have access to her medical records going forward as she has major

I'm losing my mind
I'm anxious about getting anxious. Has anyone else had their anxiety nit pick at their own relationship and make them think it's not worth it anymore? I'm driving myself insane. I can't sleep and I can't eat I'm having constant panic attacks. This is the worst my anxiety has gotten too. I need help and

over active bladder?
Hi. My son is nearly 8 and is being treated with desmopressin for his bedwetting. It seems to have helped a little but he has only had a few dry nights, nothing consistent. It does seem to help if I lift him late at night, otherwise he usually wets, sometimes several times. We have seen the continence

New to here
Hi, I'm new to here. Just wanting to connect with other parents in the same position. My husband and I have a four and a half year old girl who wets herself daily. She has never been dry. She has been out of nappies in the day for almost two years now and we haven't got anywhere in terms of her knowing

hi
I've got to quite a bad place. I've been here before and recognise the symptoms of depression. I hate working full-time, but I'm scared of trying to do anything else. I drink too much because I'm unhappy. I don't have any friends as they have moved on yet I have not. I think I may also be gay, or at

Help
I am going through a dark tunnel don't know which way to turn, George's agitation is getting beyond belief, feel so stressed. Last night he was trying to get out of bed, saying he was not tired, then put the sides up, what does he do, his legs were over the top of the bed, banging on the bed until 3.30

Why do boys treat me so badly?
I was a very bubbly, happy, young woman who was positive about life and had very little problems...until this time 2 years ago. I am now 22 and I've figured out what has changed my mental state and brought a lot of unhappiness in my life; boys. Boys have killed my self esteem, and for the last two years

Please explain TPO vs TgAb tests
Hi folks - Thank you all for this forum. I've found it very helpful :-) last summer I was dx with Hashi's based on high TPO test. It was initially 134 and was able to get it down to 98 by getting off gluten and starting Low Dose Naltrexone. After being on this site, I asked my Doc to do the TgAb test

Financial Help
16 months ago my husband sustained a hypoxic brain injury caused by an overdose. He had experienced mental health problems for a couple of years and this was made worse by his hidden gambling addiction. While he was in hospital I had to sort through our finances. He had kept these problems from me and

Hello, problem after 2 car accidents (weird question, sorry)
Hello everyone, I'm new here. I had an accident just over 2 years ago in which the car I was in got hit by another car overtaking in the fast lane of the motorway and the driver fell asleep. I was diagnosed with a head injury (not immediately) but didn't see anyone else as I had a new GP (I'd just moved

Hi. I'm new here & have never been on a forum before but am completely at my wits end, was hoping to find someone who's been through similar. I've a 7.5 year old who is having 1+ daily stool & multiple urine accidents per day. She was potty trained at 2.5, mildly difficult, but continent afterwards

Back to work full-time in September I hope!
Yes after a lot of soul-searching and bringing back all these nasty feelings of tragedy that I have tried to bury deep within, I have come out the other side feeling more optimistic. I would not be here without Headway helping me with advice and directing me to employment support for disabled. I would
