Coma
My brother in law and my sister were assaulted on the 18th June. The attack resulted in my brother in law suffering from a TBI and is now in a coma (not an induced coma) he has a GCS score of 4 and we've been told it's likely he may never wake up. I understand the TBI has caused him to have mutilple

Notes...
I stopped looking for CBD changes; I do try to take note of things that come up. I keep notes, not a journal. I print them and give them to the doctors when we go for an appointment. I'm getting use to the many changes over the past year and a half... He never wants to go out to dinner, visit friends

Post traumatic amnesia after head injury 2 years ago
Has anyone ever had 'mind blanks' after a head injury? Almost like wading through treacle to find your thoughts? Sometimes I get the most awful 'episodes' whereby I'll be doing something and I'll feel my thoughts slow down so much that it will be like there is a 'block' that is stopping my thoughts from

16 yrs CKD, 1 yr PD dialysis and 3 yrs HHD Home Hemodialysis
My name is Bill Murray, but not the famous one, and I reside in Wilmington, Delaware. I was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy in 1996, which is a Nephrotic syndrome. Is short term memory most common problem after head injury?
I go to a brain injury group meetings with others who had brain injury. It was set up by a man who had BI 5 years ago. He has struggled with the thinking so pretty much had to relearn basic things and had problems with long and short term memory. I've noticed most people who go there have bad short term

The Wili E Coyote or Road Runner Method of Tapering Predisolone
What a weird and strange existence it is when on Predisolone. Compared to most people on this site I reckon I've had a relatively mild dose of PMR. Just the odd flare and the need to sometimes push up my dose. But I met my match once I tried to reduce to 5mg. I tried many methods of getting down to

Low dose Naltrexone (Ldn)
Was diagnosed with RA in Feb, so far no medication regime helpful. Has anyone experience of taking Low Dose Naltrexone which is proving very successful for MS and having some success with other autoimmune diseases?

Worried...
SO I have had SLE for 7 years and never really any major issues. I was on plaqunil 200 mgs for the whole time and blood work was normal. Then I did labs and within one year the WBC count dropped from 3.5 to 1.5. The doc took me off plaqunil and tested me three times again for 5 months and the WBC increased

I am delighted how far I

Brain injury advice
Hi, my brother recently suffered a hypoxic brain injury. He's biting his bottom lip very severely. I'm bothered about him biting him through it. Has anybody had the same experience who can give me some advice about prevention etc? He is currently still in hospital! Thankyou

Has anyone tried LDN Low Dose Naltrexone?
Hoping that someone with autoimmune condition will share their experience with LDN. I have myasthenia gravis, Hashimotos and chronic urticaria. I have changed my eating habits (on autoimmune paleo diet) which helped a lot and switched from levothyroxine to ndt. However, I still suffer from fatigue,
