Anyone experienced HbA1c increasing after starting T3, and increasing more when Levo reduced, does it settle , is it temporary
hoping to find out, if it will eventually right itself when thyroid issues are treated optimally. I think/hope it might but would be good if others have any experience references that could back up my intuition. I was px venlafaxine early 2019, had never had any blood glucose issues before that. SIBO and antibiotics
l am now feeling so out of my depth. Having been screened and cleared for obvious causes I have seen an NHS Consultant who says I am positive for SIBO. I have tried to work with low fodmap diet previously but without much success. My test with lactose was “equivocal” but a following one with glucose

High glucose
Hey everyone, One more post😊has anyone experienced elevated glucose with being hypo? The range here in Poland is 70-99, I'm generally around 102-107, but this morning was 112! My diet is still healthy, haven't changed a thing. When on higher doses of thyroid meds, my glucose was lower, around 93.

Sugar Alcohols Ruined My Health: Learn from My Mistakes
Given the number of members who are intolerant to Teva levothyroxine, this video might be of some interest. Many suspect it is the mannitol content of Teva levothyroxine that lies behind the intolerance. After all, there were also many complaints around the world as Merck have slowly move from lactose

Advice on where to get blood tests done privately
Hi all, I hope you can help with my query. I've always had issues with T4 but after a good few years of a boost on dessicated thyroid (Erfa) the weight is piling on again. My private doctor has recommended I get the following tested but I'm struggling to find a company that can test my fasting glucose

Thankful
My husband had his first chemo treatment of 275ml Docetaxel (Taxotere) on 1/11/24 at 2 pm. Thankfully he has had no bad side effects to it except for flatulence. He has not had to take any pain medication since mid day on 1/11/24. Before that he was having to take Oxycodone 10mg every 4 hours or

TAPUR study
Following up on a genomics report (47 pages ! Plus 54 min consult) and came across this study (phase 2 basket trial) in the US. Essentially when exhausting, or before, standard of care options, allows patients to trial off label approved drugs using genomics to identify specific targetable variations

Hydroxyurea Labeling Updated With Information Regarding Interference With continuous glucose monitoring
Important article for those on HU & use continuous glucose monitors. According to the updated labeling, hydroxyurea may falsely elevate sensor glucose results from certain CGM systems. This may lead to hypoglycemia if sensor glucose results are relied upon to dose insulin. https://www.empr.com/

More info on using CGMs (continuous glucose monitors) to see what your diet and exercise does to your blood sugar levels.
This cropped up in a daily reading list and after the discussion about CGMs a few weeks ago I thought you might like to read it too https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/996972?ecd=mkm_ret_231130_mscpmrk_endo_top_content_etid6099069&uac=150045MJ&impID=6099069
