Why are all these things happening? Had Hashimotos (diagnosed) for 5 years & more and more things are going out of sync in my body.
Hello to everyone, I have posted on here a few times previously and can only give a huge thanks to all of you on here, as without this means of support and information I would feel really alone. It seems as though my health is spiralling downwards as I have developed Fibromyalgia, Raynauds, hypotension

Discharged from the Endocrinologist....I'm 'fine' apparently!
So I've been discharged as all my results are back within 'range' My cortisol is 198 no reference ranges given. My oestrogen is undetectable despite taking 100mg of Zumenon (HRT) every day. Any comments on the following blood results?
A friend of mine has had hypo like symptoms for some time now . She has Raynaud's disease. She suffers with endless guts problems, tiredness, and emotional disturbances. The blood test info is huge but these are most of the results. She had recently given blood and they took too much by accident, which

When to test the PPBS; after 90, 110 or 120 minutes of a meal?
"When to test the PPBS; after 90, 110 or 120 minutes of a meal" is a question asked by numerous diabetic patients in HealthUnlocked as well as outside. Patients & many labs follow timing of their choice AND EXPECT A VALUE BELOW 140 mg/dl IN ALL CASES. :-) I feel, the timing depends on the purpose

Rationale of Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) diet
If you are a type 2 D, training your body to live with the impaired beta cells and the resultant low supply of insulin is what LCHF all about. You have to arrive at a suitable food, exercise and drug regime to lead a healthy life. As we cut down on carbs, increased fat intake becomes inevitable for

My weekly decline of 0.175% sustained from January 16th, and now; I am exiting diabetes range without any medication!
In the four week HBA1C the trend of 0.175% reduction per week since January 16th sustained and the score today May 16 is 6.5% (was 7.2% on April 18, and 7.9% on March 22nd, Feb 08: 9.0% Jan 16th: 9.8% and January 11: 11.6%) If you argue that pre-diabetes (high diabetes risk) is up to 6.4% and not

Has any PwP earnestly tried an anti-candida diet and found it lessened their symptoms?
Like many other PwP I seek the cause and improvement of their Parkinson's symptoms. Whilst I take Parkinson's medications and have had a degree of success as such, I am always looking for ways to reverse my symptoms preferably by nutrition. So it was to this end that I did a quick online search and

Constant pain? Cysts? Endometriosis? Help
I have always suffered from excruciating period pain (From about 13 onwards). They tried me on various painkillers that didn't touch the pain, it got so bad that for a good 8 days a month i was heavily bleeding/vomiting/fainting and having fits. In the end they put me on the pill, this helped slightly

Bananas
A professor at CCNY for a physiological psych class told his class about bananas. He said the expression 'going bananas' is from the effects of bananas on the brain. Read on: Never, put your banana in the refrigerator!!! This is interesting. After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the

A brief history is that I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I was 21 and have been on 125mg of levothyroxine every since. I'm now 38 and symptoms have worsened over the last couple of years leading me to be diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I saw the endocrinologist for the first time last week and

6 years ago I came down with a mystery illness. So far no doctors had been able to give me a diagnosis, could it be thyroid? More details..
I was just wondering whether if I posted a fairly detailed history of my case, symptoms and test results would you be able to offer any ideas about whether it might be thyroid or thyroid related? Or just any ideas at all really? (I was recommended to put this on here from someone within a Lupus group
