metformin ?

I have recently stated to check my glucose by finger prick as although my HbAc1 has been ok and unchanged I am aware I am anaemic after 18 months of zoladex. My fasting morning glucose is 7.2 (129.6) and my 2 hour after evening meal was 8.3 (147.6).

The issue is that my weigh is good and unchanged since starting treatment (53.5 kilos) and my diet is largely fish and plant and pretty ok Mediterranean diet.

Problem is should I try metformin? Slight issue as my primary physician is saying my HbAc1 is good at 28 mmol/l

what’s the thoughts on this ? How serious is this for my G9 - And is metformin a good option or (given I am a wheelchair user can’t exercise as others) any other suggestions ?
