Newbie needing help one year on from hemithyroidectomy
One year after my hemithyroidectomy (due to 1" benign cyst) my endocrinologist has discharged me because my bloods are 'normal' and my symptoms since the op are apparently 'just coincidence' and she referred me for an ECG as it 'might all be caused by an underlying heart problem'. My ECG showed no abnormalities

Running essentials
Hi, I'm about to embark on my first ever phys since doing a Park Run 2 years ago. Other than the obvious good trainers and appropriate clothes, can anyone recommend anything else I may need? Like do people just hold their phones in their hand to use the app? Or is it best to get a phone holder thingy

Glycation - Atherosclerosis, Cancer, Diabetes, Aging, Alzheimers and Cataracts
Glycation is the process of a sugar molecule such glucose or fructose attaching itself to a protein molecule. This leads to the formation of AGEs (Advanced Glycation End products) in the body which damages cells and tissues - this accelerates the aging process by 7-fold. The HbA1C biomarker is a measure

New Sensor invented in UK
I remember to have read that a research has been conducted in UK to introduce a new device to measure glucose monitoring/level which is painless/blood less and better than the existing Sensors. It has been sent to clinical test. Have you any idea/knowledge about this sir.

Cold hands turn fingers numb with no blood flow?
Someone on this forum may know something about this, I am hoping, because it's quite troubling, especially for someone who thought he was just about at the optimum thyroid level. I was working on my house: pressure washing the decks when my hands became dangerously cold. This has happened to me many

Water Consumption helps or hurts?
Read an article that explained why diabetes is the leading cause of CKD. Because the excess glucose causes the Kidney to work hard to try to filter out the glucose. Over time this leads to kidney damage to the filters/Kidney, and thus CKD. But yet we are told as those with CKD to drink, drink, drink
