Really useful info from endo specialist *worth reading *
Hi ladies I have been doing lots of research recently and found this post by Dr Jeff Arrington, an endo specialist in America. I found it really helpful, so I thought I would share as I'm sure like me, there are many women here trying to figure out what to do... THE STANDARD OF CARE IS NOT SUFFICIENT

Magnesium citrate supplement for post op constipation..
Just a recommendation that has personally helped me ward of any constipation (which I am prone to) after lap surgery, is taking a couple of 100 mg capsules at bedtime. It has really helped keep my bowels working, (doesn't give me loose stools or anything) aswell as drinking enough water/fluids. I know

Peritoneal Dialysis
My husband and I are training to do PD. He had the permanent catheter implanted and it is working fine. Someone recommended that he should get a fistula in his arm as a backup. Is that usually done?

Major issues on GemCarbo and losing weight
Hi Ladies, I was diagnosed in November 2015. I have done great until now. Eribulin was a cake walk, Ibrance and Faslodex I felt like i didn’t even have cancer. Even Taxol for 9 months was easy for me. Now I’ve had three cycles of Gemcarbo and I feel like I’m back when I was diagnosed. I vomit

Alternative Therapy to Preserve Renal Transplants
I had a live-donor renal transplant 13 years ago, but I'm well aware that such transplants usually only last 15 years so I am looking for ways to preserve its function. I now take Renadyl, which contains microflora which have been shown in several scientific studies to reduce levels of uremic toxins

Preparation for Axumin Scan -- exercise/diet/supplements?
I'm scheduled for an Axumin scan on Friday afternoon but was given no prep instructions, so I've been checking online. I'm not a fan of radiation because of the potential damage and would like to do all I can to moderate the effects. So far, here's what I've found: 1. Limit physical "activity prior

76 Days After Brachy Therapy
Hi all, the last time I posted to this site was right before I had the seeds implants which was approximately 76 days ago. It took some time for me to decide to go with Brachy Therapy. I canceled surgery twice and almost canceled Brachy Therapy twice too. However, family, friends and also my doctors

When is enough enough?
I'm facing a difficult decision. My PSA (620+) continues to rise and bone scans continue to show growth on my spine and ribs despite efforts with all mainstream treatments. It's been suggested by my MO that "we need to get you into a clinical trial while you still look good" meaning while I'm relatively
