Dialysis Nurses Trying to give unsolicited medical advice
At my dialysis center I currently use a permacath due to my graft that I've had for 6 years stopped working. Tried having it declotted. But, they don't last forever. The Charge Nurse keeps hounding me about a new access. I've had 2 PD pumps before both after the graph. The first one placed on the left

Help I'm getting desperate!
I was diagnosed with ibs when I was 14 and diverticular disease when I was 29. In april I thought I had piles as I was getting a lot of pain up inside my rectum so started using anusol, it didn't clear up so tried scheriproct which has worked before but not this time. My bowels are all over the place

Hello I have been diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy as I had increased levels of proteins in my urine. How to now move ahead and please tell if any treatment is available for this. My GFR is 71 at present. Please advise about diet and changes to maintain it at this level to avoid any further deterioration

Adhesions, small bowel obstruction
Hi guys looking for some advice had a laproscopy in London on 24th April. Stayed in overnight. Basically they said there was no active endo, I didn't know if that's because I've been on triptorelin for the last 10 months. I've previously had two laps with endo. So they said about adhesions but nothing

Bottles with tongue tie
Hi all Wondering if anyone can help, my baby boy is nearly 4 weeks and we was told he has tongue tie but that it isn’t severe enough to be snipped as he can get his tongue out past his bottom - tbh it’s not something I want to put him through if he doesn’t need it either. We’ve had to go to bottle

Taxol and fatigue
Hi All. I apologize if I already posted on this but the amount of fatigue I am experiencing on Taxol (3 weeks on 1 week off) is getting to be a lot. Most days I don’t feel as though I can get out of bed. My palliative care NP is thinking to change my pain meds over to methadone from opioids. She said

Talking to professionals - not.
It’s always stated on here that it’s best to talk to the professionals if you are confused. The subject popped up again in my news feed today. Well, my GP advised me to request my appointment to have a discussion around my confusing prognosis and lack of a treatment plan to be reinstated (it was cancelled

Everyday is a struggle
Morning, I have had AFib for many years now (a lot of those were drs not believing what was going on so no treatment. I’m in the uk) finally caught it on ecg in 2008 and had ablation which worked well for 4 years and then it came back. I am 36 and for the past year have been feeling awful everyday.

Chronic Kidney Disease
My mother is 80, and last year she had a GFR rate of 26, this year she had a blood test and the following day several of her medicines were stopped without a reason being given. She also hasn’t drank the recommended fluid amount every day either, only about 1.5ltr. Lorsartan, Furosemide, Apixaban were

Thrush and spotting? (TMI)
Hi All xx It all went wrong when I went on antibiotics three months ago. I had the most unusual, thick jelly like blob of discharge that had blood in it. A few days after, intense itching on the outside....never felt anything like it! Took an over the counter cure and it soon settled down. Continued
