Ongoing GI side effects from Yervoy
It's been a week of extremes. Our youngest daughter got married on Sunday, and it was such a day of joy. There were smiling family, happy friends, beautiful bride and groom, new in-laws, great weather (outdoor ceremony!), dinner and dancing, and I ended the night sitting by an outdoor fire overlooking

Squatty potty/stool for hemorrhoid / anal fissure relief
There have been a few posts recently from people who find it really painful going to the loo 'cos of hemorrhoids or anal fissures. I thought I'd post some advice my GP gave me which has really helped me. My problems probably began when I was not drinking enough water. I did not feel thirsty so did not

Diet changes
Hi everyone! I'm in the early stages of ckd and right now I'm really trying to wrap my head around what I should be eating to be as nice to my kidneys as possible. For the last year or so I've been under the impression that the most important thing is to stay low in protein and to keep full eat more

What is "palliative care"?
Hi all, Charlotte from Leukaemia Care here. I'm doing a bit of research on palliative care and I was surprised at what I found (I won't explain why as it may spoil the point of this question!) So I'm curious. Without googling or looking it up in any other way, would you all mind telling me what do

Chlamydia Pneumoniae Treatment
Hi everyone. I'm desperate for someone to help me. I have been very sick for 2 years, and during all that time, no doctor has ever been able to find what was wrong with me. I have finally been diagnosed with Chlamydia Pneumoniae, and I'm a bit scared of what I've read online when it come to success rate

Mouth sores on Imbruvica
Is anyone else experiencing mouth sores while taking Imbruvica, and if so, are there any working solutions out there? I’ve been on the medication for five months. The mouth sores have just surfaced with a vengeance. Other than that, I’ve only experienced diahhrea (Imodium helps), brittle and breaking

Adult Shang Ring Circumcision
Hi - I’ve seen some posts discussing circumcisions on here and I’m just wondering if anyone used the Shang ring method? I am a 33yo male and I had this type of circumcision performed a week ago due to phimosis. Today I had my follow-up and had the ring removed. However, to my surprise - even before I

Circumcision Chafing
Im on day 9 of recovery and I am starting to experience chafing with my underwear. I do not want to add blisters to my recovery. Anyone have any recommendations to help with chafing? Also, is chafing a constant concern post circumcision?

PD Catheter
Hi, EGFR now dropped to 11, and PD catheter being fitted next week, followed by a Fistula soon after. Any advice on coping with Peritoneal Dialysis would be appreciated. Interested in whether I may feel 'healthier', or whether there is no real change.

Caregiver checkup
I ran across this Caregiver checkup on a Palliative Care site and thought I'd share it with the group. Sometimes I use tools like this as a scheduled self check up once a month as a way of checking in on how I'm doing, and if I'm coping worse, I take steps. See what you think about this tool and if
