Catherine's Journey to a Beautiful Smile in Costa Rica
I’d like to share the inspiring story of Catherine Brenner, a 61-year-old retired teacher from Bonita Springs, who recently transformed her smile with dental veneers in Costa Rica. 🦷✨ Facing prohibitively high dental costs in the US, where quotes ranged from $1,000 to $2,500 per tooth, Catherine started

Pacemaker and dental treatment
I am due to get a pacemaker fitted on 26 June, I also have a dental appointment on 27 June for treatment - root canal and crown. Is this going to be okay or will I have to delay the dental treatment? Any advice folks???

Dentists
Hi everyone-I am due to have CABG July/August. I have a routing check up at dentist this month. I have read somewhere of a link between teeth/gums and heart disease. What are the risks, if any? Is there any chance of dental treatment delaying the heart operation? Thanks

Affect of Alendronic acid if needing dental work?
This aspect bothers me as well as the implications of taking Alendronic acid. At age 81 after taking AA for about 18 months, I stopped it after I was prescribed HRT patches for another problem . Whilst HRT protects bones to a certain extent , I believe it doesn't increase bone density as does AA.

Dental treatment and CLL
My husband has been taking Acalabrutinib for nearly two years. His lymphocyte count is around 40 and other blood results normal. His dentist says he needs 4 teeth extracted over the next year or so - 3 teeth in 2 sessions in the Spring/Summer and one in the Winter. His main worries are having to stop

Post dental treatment
Wondering how you are all doing? Just has some dental treatment this week and thought I was doing okay after it but now feeling the effects. Why does dental treatment do that? I made sure to ensure I didn't have adrenal in local aneasthetic, checked I wasn't sensitive to the ingredients in the filling

PMR Review with GP
Further to my previous two posts, I had my appointment with the GP today, which was interesting. No mention of fibro. Yay! Mind you, this was the same doc I saw right after diagnosis and the guy who sent me off next day to the hospital ophthalmologist to get my eyes checked out to make sure that I

Pentoxyfiline
hi I’ve been prescribed Trental 400 mg ( pentoxyfiline) for firearm pain and hand pain associated with Raynauds. The team who prescribed it have discharged me to local rheumatologist who doesn’t want to continue prescribing as it’s a black list drug. Since taking it I’ve only had 2 digital ulcers instead

Radiation side effects
The good news is that my husband sailed thru the Orgovyx with no problems whatsoever, now is in his 6th month and is due to complete that treatment at the end of June. The bad news is that he has had 22 sessions of salvage RT. He is supposed to have a total of 38 however, he has developed severe cramping

I have been diagnosed with SLE Lupus for a year now. Does anyone find their teeth really sensitive during ordinary dental treatment such as cleaning? I’m also having a problem with the injections to numb the mouth not working . Is this Lupus related or is it just me? Any advice on the problem would

Update on Medical Professionals and how to access dental treatment as housebound
Hello, further to my last post, my father in law has had a visit from the Parkinsons Nurse and he won't be revisiting until 3 months time. He has given us a contact email and told us to contact him if things change. My mother in law asked if he was going to get any better (this has been a constant

Sodium cromoglycate inhaler (Intal)
Can anyone share their experience getting Intal inhaler since it has been delisted in the UK? Or, do you now take it via a nebulizer instead? If yes, can you share the name of the nebulizer device and the manufacturer of the cromolyn/chromoglycate solution? Pubmed indicates it's less effective than
