I'm sorry I cannot individually thanks everyone individually 4 such wonderful good warm wishes for tomorrow and my surgery. I do want to say I cannot even imagine going through life without the surgery. You are all wonderful. Talk to you on the flip side!

Tomorrow is my day! The laundry is done, floors are swept, my clients are taken care of until later next week, and my daughter will be here from out of town this afternoon. I am at peace. No regrets about anything. Merry Christmas songs and the William Tell Overture are running through my mind!

I sometimes regret taking a year to make my decision that DBS was not only an option, but a "must do" for me. This website is a wonderful forum - I believe that the experiences

Gutted
Today I was going to run my first Parkrun. I think on my graduation run on Wednesday I must have pulled a muscle in my left thigh as Thursday I could barely walk. I have been taking Ibuprofen since and using deep heat but still not too good so best rest it. I can't tell you how disappointed I am but

I have recently had bloods done as I was diagnosed with coeliac disease a year and a half ago. When I was diagnosed my TTG was over 128 when the norm is 0-7. My gastro consultant said that my results are now ok. However when I asked for a printout of the results and looked at it my reading is now

Wheat gluten free???
Anyone whose tried a gluten free diet how long was it before you had an improvement in symptoms? I'm not celiac but gp recommended cutting out gluten for a week to see if I have any improvement but it's soo hard to do and so far (3days in) making no difference at all. Just very frustrating, especially

Consultation with a Private Doctor
I am 61 and have ET. I was on 2x500mg Hydroxy plus 75mg Aspirin. I stopped taking it in September. In December I went to see a private doctor in Harley Street, not a haematologist. She did some blood tests, the results of which may be of interest to others, although they relate to me. It may save

Helping my Younger Brother
My 51-year-old brother was diagnosed with Young Onset, 4.5 years ago. He has been on many different meds, is still having problems. He & his doctor agrees that he's ready for DBS, we just wish his Medical insurance was. I'm helping him and my mom in any way I can with obtaining information on this Disease

“Clinical outcomes of asleep vs awake deep brain stimulation for Parkinson disease,”
Good to know: "The results, published in the journal Neurology, suggested that it is better for patients to sleep through the surgery. Additionally, traditional forms of deep brain stimulation surgery often cause patients to lose speech fluency. Matthew Brodsky, MD, an associate professor of neurology

Disappointed with latest results-dose increase?
Hi - here are my latest results. I am taking 75mcg levothyroxine and 12.5mcg T3 (bought from Greece). Do you think it would be ok to increase T3 to 25mcg? Also I am very dissappointed that my antibodies are way up. I have been gluten free for 18 months apart from a couple of weeks ago when I gave in
