I plan to gradually increase my exercise over time, until I'm weight-training,
cycling
, swimming, running and possibly doing yoga as well. I've years of neglect to undo!

Exercise, age and A-Fib
About 5 years ago I started doing more serious
cycling
and longer and longer distances even doing the UK Coast to Coast in a day 250km ride in 2014. All was good, if I look back at that ride my max HR was 186bpm at the top of a renowned climb called Hardknotts Pass.

Three years from diagnosis
I returned to club
cycling
in September, but with the beginners’ group rather than the racers. I am still taking it steady, not wanting to risk my recovery, and definitely enjoying life.

A karimoor run jacket for me and a
cycling
jacket for him as there were no medium run jackets. These things don't look very warm to wear for the warm up and warm down walks. I usually have a fleece over a T shirt. Also what's the difference between wearing a
cycling
jacket or running one?

newly diagnosed copd
I have done regular vigorous exercise for years - gym, swimming,
cycling
and have no problems with breathlessness. I am expecting results of a chest x-ray and am being referred to the nurse. Meanwhile I am very worried but also moved by the courage and mutual support of people on this site.

An update on my progress.
I thought I could come off very soon, then recently I began exercising every day as opposed to every other day, at about 40 minutes running and Sauna + my
cycling
commute, and my thyroid crashed hard. I really like the exercise though and look healthier overall, but this is a step back.

5k during week 7
Obviously my
cycling
fitness has helped immensely and I will not give up on the app but I am very proud of what I have achieved going from no running to running 5k in 25 mins during week 7. Do I graduate now or do I have to run for 30 minutes first?

Small study on Endocannabinoids
There’s emerging evidence that other types of exercise like
cycling
or rowing at a moderate pace can also induce a ‘natural high’.

Need help with burning calories ideas!
A 15 mins aerobics workout 4 times a week and I just added
cycling
twice a week. For my diet - my TDEE is supposed to be like 2100 a day - I consume roughly 1700 calories three days a week, 800 calories twice a week (instead of 500 which is the norm for 5.2) and weekends upto 1900 calories.

I still have nightmares and I was a homecarer and cycled 20 plus miles daily to all my visits but I'm now changing jobs I can't imagine

Best laid plans of mice and a wimpy man
I even started one day early - I’m keen - day two cross training yoga then
cycling
both very enjoyable. Day three woke up with an achy cold. Typical!! Taking inspiration from the seemingly unstoppable ladies on this forum. I’ll be back out again as soon as I woman up - if you see what I mean.

HM Training: 17.5k and a schoolboy error!!
It was a tad parky outside, about 1 or 2°C, but I donned my long running pants, a tshirt, and my
cycling
-repurposed-as-running jacket, remember that seemingly insignificant but important detail for later, and off I trotted. For once in my life I got the layering just right.

...anything sporty in fact!) as dont want the attention in case I cant do it. 😬. Might have to run in the dark if i dont want to bump into anyone though!😁.
