Best laid plans of mice and a wimpy man

Got myself all excited about starting Abi’s half marathon plan. Running gear all washed (most of it anyway) and ironed (just washed), plan printed out, added plan to google calendar, booked 10k ‘race’ then half marathon for the Spring. I even started one day early - I’m keen - day two cross training yoga then cycling both very enjoyable. Day three woke up with an achy cold.

Typical!!

Taking inspiration from the seemingly unstoppable ladies on this forum. I’ll be back out again as soon as I woman up - if you see what I mean.

Happy running everyone

Haha no. All those man made fabrics, a hot piece of metal and me = a recipe for disaster. 🔥😉

Oh no! Sorry to hear this Bob. I’m sure that you will be back out there very soon but in the meantime rest up and look after yourself! Xx

Oh no! Make sure you get lots of rest.

I was ill a couple of weeks ago and stupidly went and did parkrun. I was the 35 min pacer so thought I'd be OK and didn't want to let anyone down - not a wise move ☹️

Get well soon xx

Ahh, no. That's not fair. But you'll be back all the better for the rest (so long as you do rest!), and all the more determined. Get well soon.
