Will I ever improve?
Referred to Psychiatrist who advised my thyroid disease is presenting Rapid
Cycling
Bipolar, need to be on a MUCH higher dose. Slowly he increased the dose by 50mcg every 2 weeks, with ECGs. I am on 700mcg now, moods are more stable - weight is down 7kgs and stuck there.

Damn the Torpedoes Part 1. Introduction.
I am pretty fit, regularly swimming 3 times a week 50 lengths of a 25 metre pool and
cycling
11.5 miles. If I’m in the mood I swim up to 150 lengths (and could literally swim all day without eating) and cycle 23 miles. I will typically follow a swim with a ride. So, no problems with fitness.

However, too many people around, walking &
cycling
to work. Felt too self-conscious & will revert to my 5 pm slot. Found run very tough again & nearly stopped. Lots of negative, unhelpful thoughts going round my head.

Ignoring bad advice.....
I wanted to know whether
cycling
or running would still be possible. Long story short, I was basically told that I should think of different hobbies and life goals as I would probably never be able to achieve those things any more.

Seasonal Affective Disorder
My daughter is rapid
cycling
right now so we are trying to nip it as quickly as possible. The Pysch NP mentioned to also watch for SAD because a lot of kids with ADHD and other co-occurring such as anxiety suffer with increasing symptoms in the winter.

First period after extensive lap and mirena insertion - should I brace myself?
My last period, after tri-
cycling
the pill, ended on the day of my lap - 9th Jan - where they also inserted the mirena. So technically I should be due a period in the next few days...

Tapering... and Running Buddy Etiquette
My training has been a bit haphazard; I only manage 2 runs a week on average, what with
cycling
4 days a week. I made it out for my long run today (the other run is parkrun on the Saturday) which was a fairly comfortable full HM distance.

Hi
I am
cycling
through gait problems, a couple of days as normal then exhaustion and back to gait problems. Is this type of change, over 20 years something that people with lupus have experienced? Or am I trying to make 2 + 2 make 5? Any insight would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks, Jaz

First Parkrun!
They came jogging and
cycling
in lines from all directions, like slim, fit ants. I asked one of them if there was anywhere we could leave coats and was told no, I would soon warm up. There were only a handful of first-timers and we were pulled to one side onto wet, muddy grass for our talk.

Should I do week 6 again from run 1?
However the weekend I hurt the muscle in my thigh (from
cycling
! Which is supposed to be less impact than running Sheesh!). So I have taken it a bit easy this week. Monday I did walking on my treadmill and it was a bit sore after. Tuesday I just did some aerobics.

Vigorous Exercise brings on AF
For the last 8 years I have been enjoying a lot of
cycling
to a high level and in the last 2 years I have taken up running. Having had AF for about 10 years exercise didn't have an effect upon my condition up until recently.

Starting Again.
I do a lot of
cycling
, and to be honest I was going to throw my trainers in the bin and stick to 2 wheels. But being an idiot (we’ll that’s what the wife called me) I pulled on my trainers on Saturday morning and started from scratch on W1R1.

Using a sauna or steam room after a heart attack.
During milder weather this will often mean
cycling
to and from work around 4 days in a week, each journey is 8 miles in about 40 minutes (would be quicker if there weren't as many traffic lights) so this amounts to 64 miles in a week.

It's amazing what you can do if you're motivated
A good pair of Aldi
cycling
gloves keeping my hands warm. In my teens, I really wasn't motivated by the thought of running at all yet here I am in my 60s venturing out in all weathers, doing my three runs per week and no excuses.

Glorious day for a run - new route
Gear on and off we went to explore - hubby
cycling
and me and Squiggy running. New route - an old railway line. River, fields and distant hills on one side, heritage railway line on the other. Really lovely.
