Hoping to walk 3 Yorkshire peaks.
Earlier this year one of the service users joined the man who set group up on a
cycling
challenge in Ibiza so I had the idea I could join him next time he walks the Yorkshire peaks. Of course I need to do a lot of training to be ready for it.

First gp appointment about possible angina
Run for years, spin
cycling
couple of times a week, long dog walks likewise and a very active job, also never smoked. I do however have a family history of cardiovascular disease and recently found out i was hypertensive after a bit of a health scare back end of last year.

Lost my way a bit...
Anyway, my back is improving, albeit slowly, so I am determined to get back on track, though it might be a while before I can get back to
cycling
and running. Has this happened to others? How did you restart and re-invigorate yourself to get back on track?

July 24, 2019. NOT “ESSENTIALLY SYMPTOM FREE”
The only medicine I advocate unequivocally is Exercise, in particular, high cadence
cycling
(see pedalingforparkinsons.org). But all exercise helps physically, cognitively and emotionally, when I am able to do it. In the past two and a half years I have faced several physical challenges.

Post pericarditis and heart monitors
I recently had a second incident of pericarditis (15 years apart) in recent years I have become a keen cyclist and I am enthusiastic to get
cycling
again as soon as possible but I want to be cautious about how hard I ride so I think a chest heart rate monitor would a good plan.

New drug for stage 4
Drug known as a
cycling
inhibitor increased survival rate to 70%. Sisters researchers are working 24 hours, 7 7 days a week for us to live longer, I pray a cure is in the near future.

Should I run my 10k race on Sunday?
I’ve still been going to the gym regularly, rowing and
cycling
, and completing strength exercises. The injury is much better but not 100% right. I was really looking forward to this local 10k and it’s the only other race I’ve subscribed to this year.

Depression is common and linked with early death in patients with blood cancers
The image is from a

You have got to stay on the ball!
I was doing really well with my diet and had been doing loads of exercise as had been on a
cycling
challenge over the weekend plus a little bit of running and some yoga. However, last night went out for a meal with my family and almost without thinking ate garlic bread and deep fried onion rings!

Depressed and in pain
I am a fairly rapid
cycling
bipolar 2, so I'm used to feeling suicidal. I am now so depressed that even that's gone. (Suicidality, while life-threatening, is a sign that you want things to get better. When even that's gone, you are officially hopeless.) I want to show up for my life.

Stalled :(
Basically started to make excuses for not going out, tried to move over to
cycling
a bit but unless it’s a perfect day it’s not quite hitting the spot. Went to a proper running shop last week and forked out loads of money on a new pair of shoes.

5 hours sleep
I just came back from a 10 day
cycling
trip in the Scottish highlands. Spent all day yesterday travelling back by multiple trains, with my bike, then 80 mile drive after picking my car up from a friend's house. Got home 2am totally exhausted.

Cycling for someone with a learning disability
Does anyone have any experience of disability cycles (not sure that is the right term)? I've seen some adult tricycles that look good, also some bikes that have more than one seat. I'm looking for something suitable for a young adult and I am not sure where to start without spending a fortune. Thanks
